JOB OVERVIEW

Construction Bookkeeper / Accountant (Project-Based | Long-Term Opportunity)

We're looking for an experienced Construction Bookkeeper / Accountant to help clean up and organize our accounting records. This is a project-based role with the potential for ongoing work if we're a good fit.

Phase 1 – Book Cleanup

Responsibilities include:
-Clean up and reconcile the General Ledger
-Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
-Organize Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
-Correct accounting errors
-Verify job costing where applicable
-Ensure our books are accurate and up to date
-Deliverables
-Clean, reconciled books
-Summary of corrections made
-Recommendations to improve our accounting processes
-Potential Ongoing Work

If Phase 1 is successful, you'll help us:
-Create accounting SOPs and workflows
-Improve Buildxact and accounting processes
-Support ongoing bookkeeping and job costing

Requirements:
-Proven construction bookkeeping/accounting experience (desired)
-Strong knowledge of GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, and job costing
-Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
-Buildxact and QuickBooks experience is a plus
