We are a growing U.S.-based business that buys and sells trailers, vehicles, construction equipment, tools, and machinery.
We are looking for a smart, resourceful full-time assistant whose main job is to find profitable inventory opportunities worth investing company money into.
Your Main Responsibility will be to search
You will be given clear buying criteria and taught what makes a good opportunity.
For each promising deal, you will have to know the following information in order to act quickly:
* Market value
* Comparable listings
* Sold prices
* Model specifications
* Condition and common problems
* Estimated repair costs
* Parts availability
* Distance and logistics
* Potential resale price
Your goal is to identify new listings and quickly determine: "Is this worth buying?". If it is worth buying you will then share the listing with me or the management team. We will train you how to do this. You do not have to know this information now.
When you are not actively sourcing inventory, you will be:
* Making offers
* Building a resale guide for yourself
* Organizing data into Excel or spreadsheets
* Pricing items for sale that we already own
* Researching parts and part numbers
* Finding repair shops and service providers
* Researching mechanical problems
* Comparing suppliers and products
As you learn the business, this position may expand into communicating with buyers and sellers and helping manage the sales side of the business.
Schedule (required)
* Monday through Friday
* 6-8 hours per day
* 30-40 hours per week
* Long-term position
* Overlap with U.S. Eastern Time is required (begin at 9AM EST (GMT -4))
Compensation
$1200-$1400 USD per month (at 40hrs/week) depending on experience and ability.
* 13th month bonus paid in December
* Paid time off: 10 days per year, plus Filipino holidays
* Bi-weekly payment via Wise or PayPal (your choice)
* Month end reviews to track growth, performance, and review compensation.
There is room for increased pay, responsibility, and hours for someone who learns quickly and develops strong research skills.
You are a good fit if you are:
* Very good at online research
* Able to closely follow directions
* Enjoy using
* Good with Google and spreadsheets
* Able to compare information from multiple sources
* Comfortable researching vehicles, equipment, tools, and mechanical topics
* Able to work independently
* Willing to ask questions when unsure
* Honest when you make a mistake and willing to learn from it
* Long-term oriented
Experience with vehicles, trailers, equipment, tools, sales, lead generation, or online sourcing is a plus, but not required.
We care about your ability to find information, think clearly, and most importantly your attitude towards learning and making mistakes more than having perfect industry experience.
A successful person in this role:
* Consistently finds strong buying opportunities
* Learns our buying criteria quickly
* Sends fewer, higher-quality leads
* Provides accurate research with sources
* Keeps information organized
* Becomes more independent over time
* Helps us make faster and better buying decisions
