JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Video Editor fluent in ScreenFlow to join our growing content team. In this role, you will take raw video footage and screen recordings focused on marketing strategies and transform them into engaging content for small business owners.
You will be responsible for editing both short-form vertical videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) and longer-format YouTube videos. You will work directly alongside our team to maintain a consistent brand voice, build high-retention edits, and hit regular publishing deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Editing in ScreenFlow: Assemble raw video, screen captures, slide decks, and audio directly within Telestream ScreenFlow.
Short-Form Content Creation: Cut down core marketing tips into punchy 30–60 second vertical videos (Reels/Shorts/TikToks) using eye-catching captions, jump cuts, zoom callouts, and audio polish.
Long-Form YouTube Production: Edit 8–15 minute educational YouTube videos with clear pacing, lower thirds, on-screen text/graphic callouts, B-roll insertion, and strong audio levelling.
Content Repurposing: Identify and extract multiple short-form hooks and takeaways from long-form recording sessions.
Asset & File Management: Maintain clean ScreenFlow project files (.screenflow), handle footage downloads via shared drives, and follow file-naming conventions.
Team Collaboration: Communicate updates clearly and implement revision feedback efficiently with the rest of the team.
Requirements & Qualifications
Software Requirement: Expertise in Telestream ScreenFlow (Mac) is required. (Bonus if you also know Premiere Pro or After Effects for extra graphic elements).
Relevant Portfolio: Experience editing marketing, educational, screen-recorded, or business content (portfolio/sample links required).
Format Proficiency: Deep understanding of retention editing, hook building, dynamic captions, and platform-specific formatting for both YouTube and vertical feeds.
Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills.
Technical Setup: Reliable high-speed internet (for downloading large raw files) and a Mac capable of handling ScreenFlow projects without lag.
Dependability: Strong work ethic, high attention to detail, and ability to meet fixed deadlines independently.
