ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a growing U.S.-based, multi-location organization seeking an experienced HR professional to coordinate our day-to-day HR administration and operations.
This is a full-time, long-term, hands-on position covering employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee records. It is not an entry-level or recruiting-focused role.
We are hiring immediately. The selected candidate will receive direct training and structured knowledge transfer from the current role owner, so prompt availability is important.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Relations
Manage workplace concerns, investigations, coaching, disciplinary actions, employee claims, and related documentation.
Manage employee leave requests and provide guidance to employees and management regarding company policies, procedures, and employment matters.
Coordinate employment-related matters with management, insurance carriers, attorneys, and other third parties.
Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
Payroll & Compensation
Manage semi-monthly payroll, monthly commissions, employee transfers, compensation changes, pay adjustments, and other payroll-related activities.
Administer employee pay plans, draws, relocation assistance, loan advances, and wage withholding orders.
Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
Conduct regular payroll and personnel file audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.
Become a subject matter expert in the company’s Netchex payroll processes.
Benefits Administration
Manage medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) benefits.
Lead annual open enrollment and manage employee enrollment, eligibility changes, billing, employee questions, and follow-up.
Coordinate with brokers, insurance carriers, and benefit providers.
Help evaluate benefit solutions that support employee retention and recruitment.
HR Administration & Compliance
Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, personnel files, employment verifications, and pre-employment drug screenings.
Administer company policies and the Employee Handbook.
Support HR compliance reviews, audits, and documentation requirements.
Ensure compliance with required timekeeping procedures and maintain accurate employee records.
Support HR process improvements, special projects, and other operational needs as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven hands-on experience supporting HR operations for a U.S.-based company.
Direct experience processing U.S. payroll, including commissions, deductions, adjustments, and employee changes.
Experience administering U.S. employee benefits and annual open enrollment.
Experience handling employee relations matters, investigations, and sensitive documentation.
Strong understanding of confidentiality, recordkeeping, and HR compliance.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, follow through consistently, and communicate clearly with employees and leadership.
Availability to work full-time during U.S. Central Time business hours.
Reliable internet connection and a professional remote workspace.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Direct experience using Netchex.
Experience with multi-state payroll and HR operations.
Experience supporting a multi-location organization.
Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills.
