About us:
We’re an Australian accounting firm looking a Philippine based team member to assist with tasks such as producing tax returns and financial accounts from client information supplied from our office. Our team consists of a range of friendly people from Australia and the Philippines, and we value our team members above all else.
Our clients are mainly small businesses here in Australia, and we perform all types of accounting and tax services. Our clients are in a large range of industries, and you will get to experience a variety of different work.
About the role:
The role is a full-time, work from home role.
We are looking for what we consider a skilled intermediate or senior accountant - someone who has sufficient experience working with Australian accounting firms and who will be able to meet productivity targets from day 1. This role is not for those with little to no experience with Australian firms.
Non-Negotiables:
1) 3+ years experience working with Australian accounting firms
2) Highly competent with producing accurate financial statements, tax returns, BAS's, etc
3) Expectations of meeting KPI / productivity targets (essentially 80% of time billed to clients)

Detailed Summary:
The job will involve the application of Australian taxation rules to support the preparation of Australian tax returns, BAS returns, payroll lodgments, financial statements, etc for businesses, and individuals. You are expected to be able to prepare financial statements and tax returns from various types of source documents, for review by our team leader.
Experience preparing Australian tax returns is necessary for this role. We use Xero for financial statements and tax returns, experience with Xero and Xero Tax is preferred.
A large number of our business clients use Xero and QuickBooks Online, with others using excel spreadsheets or simply forwarding across bank statements and invoices. You will be expected to work through this information, work out the most appropriate allocation in the financial statements, and work out the tax outcomes of all items.
Our team will be there to support you and assist with any and all queries you have with any of your jobs, and if there are any knowledge gaps, we are happy to train you in those areas.
We are looking for a friendly person who enjoys keeping in touch with our other team members and is willing to ask for help when needed. Our team is always available to help you, and we hold regular team meetings and have online chat to help everyone work closely together.
