Experienced Meta & Google Ads Specialist Needed for Long-Term Work
About Us
West Michigan Piano is a family-owned piano shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We've served Grand Rapids for 20+ years, offering new and used pianos / rentals / tuning & repair / piano moving etc. We're looking for a paid-ads specialist to help us reach more local customers and turn online searches and scrolls into real leads — phone calls, form inquiries, and showroom visits.
This is a long-term, remote opportunity. We want someone dependable we can grow with, not a one-off campaign. However, there will be a testing period to make sure we’re aligned and the skills are there. Also, dont reach out directly to the store or try to find the owner to bypass the recruiting process, I appreciate the tenacity but I’m handling this for my uncle and he doesn’t want to deal with this until I introduce people to him.
What You'll Do
Build, launch, and manage Google Ads — Search campaigns targeting high-intent local searches (e.g. "used pianos near me," "piano tuning [city]," "piano lessons"), plus Performance Max and Google Business Profile optimization
Build and manage Meta Ads
Set up and maintain conversion tracking correctly — Meta Pixel/Conversions API, Google Ads conversion actions, and call & form tracking so we can actually measure leads
Research audiences and keywords specific to piano buyers, lesson seekers, and tuning/repair customers in our area
Write ad copy and direct the creative — tell us what photos/videos/assets you need and we'll provide them
Manage the ad budget efficiently and report on leads, cost-per-lead, and what's working in plain English
Continuously test and optimize to lower cost-per-lead over time
What We're Looking For (Requirements)
1. Proven paid-ads experience. 5+ years actively running both Google Ads and Meta Ads with real, measurable results. This is not an entry-level role — we're not looking for someone learning on our budget. Bonus if you’ve worked with Piano shops before.
2. Local / lead-generation experience, this is the big one for us. You've run ads for local service or retail businesses (not just e-commerce or dropshipping). You understand geo-targeting, driving phone calls and in-person visits, and getting results on a modest local budget.
3. Conversion tracking competence. You can set up pixels, conversion actions, and call/form tracking correctly and verify they're firing. (This is where most applicants fall down — we'll be asking about it.)
4. Clear communication and fluent English. You'll report directly to the owner and explain results simply, without jargon. Strong written English is required.
What To Submit
Your portfolio / track record — examples of ad accounts or campaigns you've managed, ideally for local or lead-gen businesses. Include results where you can: leads generated, cost per lead, monthly ad spend you've managed.
A short note answering: "Why would you be a valuable asset to us, and what's the first thing you'd do to get us more leads?" (We want to see that you've actually thought about our business.)
Please Note
Any AI-generated or ChatGPT applications will be automatically disregarded. We want to hear from you, in your own words.
So we know you actually read this: start your reply with the word “Michigan”.
