About Us:
We are Rude Cosmetics. We believe makeup is a tool of self-expression, and our brand is built on being bold, edgy, and completely unapologetic. We are looking for a highly creative Packaging Designer who has their finger on the pulse of current beauty trends to help design our next viral products.

The Role:
We are looking for a trendsetter. Your primary goal is to design eye-catching, creative packaging that appeals to a younger, trend-conscious demographic (Gen-Z and Millennials).

Note: While you will need to know how to place your artwork onto a flat dieline template, you do NOT need to handle the deep technical prepress work or communicate with our overseas manufacturers. We have an in-house production manager to handle the factory side! We just need your creative vision.

Key Responsibilities:

> Creative Packaging Design: Design the visual covers, typography, illustrations, and overall aesthetic for upcoming eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, and skincare lines.

> Trend Translation: Keep up with current makeup, fashion, and social media aesthetic trends (e.g., Y2K revival, Soft Goth, Monochromatic) and translate them into packaging concepts that fit the "Rude" brand.

> Dieline Layout: Take your beautiful artwork and lay it out cleanly onto provided dieline templates so our production team can take it to the finish line.

> Moodboarding: Help our creative team visualize new collections by putting together aesthetic mood boards and concept decks.

Requirements:

> Trend-Focused Portfolio: You must have a portfolio that shows you understand how to design for younger audiences. We want to see bold colors, great typography, and modern aesthetics.

> Packaging Experience: You must have experience designing physical packaging (unit cartons, boxes, labels) and know how to work within a dieline template.

> Beauty Obsessed: A strong understanding of the cosmetics industry and what catches a consumer's eye on store shelves and on TikTok/Instagram.

> Software Mastery: Expert level in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

> Bonus Skills: Basic 3D rendering skills to mock up your packaging concepts are a huge plus!

Working Hours & Pay:

> Hours: This is a long-term, part-time role (20 to 30 hours per week) with the potential to grow based on performance.

> Schedule: Flexible, but we require some overlap with PST (Pacific Standard Time) for quick communication and feedback.

Pay: $4.00 to $6.00 USD per hour, depending entirely on the strength of your creative portfolio and packaging experience.
