JOB OVERVIEW

About This Role
-We don’t need someone who can “edit videos.”
-We need someone who understands attention.

If you know how to hook in the first 2 seconds, control pacing, build tension with captions, and turn raw footage into content people actually finish watching — keep reading.

You’ll be responsible for creating high-impact vertical content designed to stop the scroll, increase retention, and drive measurable engagement across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
-Editing 15–60 second vertical videos optimized for performance
-Crafting powerful hooks that immediately grab attention
-Adding dynamic captions, motion graphics, sound effects, and transitions
-Repurposing long-form content into high-retention short clips
-Staying ahead of trends, viral formats, and platform behaviors
-Collaborating with marketing and content teams to align on brand voice
-Testing different hooks, pacing styles, and caption formats to improve metrics
-This role is not just about making things look good. It’s about making them perform.

What We’re Looking For
-1–3+ years editing short-form content specifically
-Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent
-Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and retention strategy
-Deep familiarity with TikTok, Reels, and Shorts best practices
-Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
-A portfolio that clearly shows high-performing short-form content
-If your portfolio is generic, we’ll know. We’re looking for work that shows intentional editing and performance awareness.

Bonus If You Have
-Experience working with influencers or personal brands
-Motion graphics experience (After Effects is a plus)
-Knowledge of analytics, retention graphs, and optimization strategies
-Strong color grading and clean sound design skills
