We are a US-based digital marketing agency looking for a designer who produces client-ready marketing collateral and on-brand digital assets. Portfolio with case studies is required.
Role summary
You produce the downloadable and sent assets that carry the brand: decks, one-pagers, case studies, ebooks, catalogs, and direct mail. You also produce website imagery and reusable social templates. You work from written briefs and existing brand guidelines.
Responsibilities
• Pitch decks and sales presentations
• Flyers, one-pagers, and leave-behinds
• Case study layouts, both web and PDF
• Ebooks, guides, and gated downloadable resources
• Product catalog layout
• US direct mail postcard design, built correctly for postal specifications
• Website imagery, section graphics, and hero assets
• Social image templates that non-designers can reuse without breaking them
• Enforcing brand guidelines across every asset, including type scale, color, spacing, and logo usage
Must have
• 3 or more years designing marketing collateral in an agency or in-house marketing team
• Portfolio with at least two case studies showing the brief, your role, and the finished work
• Demonstrated multi-page layout skill. Decks and ebooks, not just single social graphics
• US direct mail postcard experience, with correct handling of trim, bleed, safe area, and mailing panel requirements
• Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Your capability must extend beyond template-based tools
• Ability to work inside an existing brand system rather than redesigning it
• Strong written English for brief comprehension and feedback discussion
Nice to have
• Canva, for producing templates the wider team can edit
• Presentation tools such as Gamma
• Figma
• B2B and professional services design background
Start your application with the words BLEED LINE on the first line. Applications without it are deleted unread.
Screening questions
1. Send links to two multi-page layouts you designed. Not social graphics.
2. Describe the last US direct mail postcard you designed. What size, and how did you handle the mailing panel and safe area?
3. You receive a brief with a brand guideline PDF and a rough outline. The brand’s specified body font does not support a language the client needs. What do you do?
4. Which Adobe applications do you use weekly, and what do you use each for?
5. Describe your file organization and handoff process when someone else has to pick up your working file.
6. Estimate turnaround for a 12-page ebook layout from approved copy and approved brand guidelines.
7. What other work do you currently have and how many hours weekly?
