JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking for a detail-oriented Instagram VA / Content Researcher who can help me find and curate luxury lifestyle content for an Instagram profile.

The main responsibility will be researching Instagram and other approved sources, finding relevant visual content, evaluating it according to specific guidelines, organizing it, and preparing batches for review.

This is NOT a typical social media manager position. The main focus is content research, visual curation, and organization.

TARGET LIFESTYLE AND AESTHETIC

The profile represents the lifestyle of a sophisticated man approximately 30–35 years old.

All selected content should feel consistent with this demographic and lifestyle.

The content should look natural and spontaneous, as if it was casually captured by a person using an iPhone during everyday life.

IMPORTANT:

The content should NOT look like professional photography, a commercial campaign, a fashion photoshoot, stock photography, or highly produced influencer content.

Preferred characteristics:

– Natural iPhone photography
– Natural lighting
– Casual framing
– Candid moments
– First-person / POV perspective
– Faceless lifestyle content
– Realistic everyday situations
– Understated luxury
– Authentic-looking environments
– Minimal editing
– Natural imperfections

The goal is not simply to find expensive-looking photos.

The goal is to find content that looks like a real moment from the life of a successful man in his early 30s.

MAIN CONTENT CATEGORIES

– Private jets
– Business class
– First class

POV / FACELESS CONTENT

This is one of the most important categories.

Examples include:

– Hands
– Wrist and watch
– Feet
– Restaurant table
– Coffee
– Hotel breakfast
– Airplane window
– Yacht deck
– Car interior
– Steering wheel
– Hotel room
– Hotel balcony
– Pool
– Beach
– Gym equipment
– Suitcase
– Airport lounge
– City views
– Dinner table
– First-person travel experiences

EVERYDAY LUXURY

Do not focus only on obvious displays of wealth.

Natural everyday moments are especially valuable.

Examples:

– Coffee in a luxury hotel
– Breakfast
– Laptop on a hotel desk
– Hotel room
– Hotel hallway
– Elevator
– Suitcase
– Airport lounge
– Restaurant table
– Car interior
– City view
– Gym
– Balcony
– Casual evening drink
– Walking through a luxury location

The environment should communicate the lifestyle without the image trying too hard to show wealth.

LIFESTYLE CONTINUITY

When researching content, think about how several pieces could work together as one story.

For example:

Morning:
Hotel room -> Coffee -> Gym -> Breakfast

Afternoon:
Car -> Restaurant -> Marina -> Yacht

Evening:
Sunset -> Cocktail -> Dinner -> Hotel

It is highly valuable to find several pieces of content that can logically belong together.

Avoid random combinations of completely unrelated locations.

CONTENT VARIETY

Do not submit large batches consisting of only one type of content.

For example, do not submit 20 yacht photos or 20 supercar photos.

The content should be balanced across:

– Travel
– Hotels
– Restaurants
– Cars
– Aviation
– Yachts
– Fitness
– Fashion
– Everyday lifestyle
– POV
– Faceless content
– Luxury locations

CONTENT RESEARCH

Instagram will be one of the main research platforms.

Use:

– Instagram profiles
– Instagram Stories
– Instagram Reels
– Instagram location pages
– Geotags
– Relevant hashtags
– Hotels
– Restaurants
– Marinas
– Airports
– Luxury venues
– Travel destinations
– Lifestyle creators

Look beyond major influencers and professional photographers.

Smaller creators and ordinary users can often provide much more natural-looking content.

CONTENT SELECTION CRITERIA

Before selecting any piece of content, ask:

Does it look natural?
Does it look like it could have been captured casually on an iPhone?
Does it fit the lifestyle of a man approximately 30–35 years old?
Does it feel sophisticated and understated?
Does it look like a real-life moment rather than a professional photoshoot?
Does it fit the overall visual identity?
Could it logically fit together with other content?
Is the quality good enough for Instagram?
Is the source and intended use appropriate?
Would this look believable next to the rest of the profile?

If the answer to several of these questions is NO, do not submit the content.

CONTENT TRACKING AND ORGANIZATION

You will be responsible for keeping an accurate record of the researched content and saving selected material according to the approved format.

Each piece of content should be properly categorized and associated with the relevant source, location, content type, and usage status.

The system should make it easy to identify:

– Source
– Location
– Category
– Content type
– Review status
– Usage status
– Permission / usage status

DAILY WORKFLOW

Research Instagram and other approved sources.
Find relevant profiles and content.
Select the strongest pieces.
Evaluate them according to the aesthetic requirements.
Check that the content fits the target male lifestyle.
Check that it feels natural rather than professionally produced.
Check the source and usage status.
Save the selected content according to the approved format.
Keep the content record updated.
Submit a batch for review.
Apply feedback to future research.

TEST TASK

Before hiring, candidates will complete a test assignment.

The test assignment is to find 20 pieces of Instagram content that fit all requirements described above.

The 20 pieces should demonstrate variety.

A good test batch would include:

– 2-3 photos of a guy of a specified body type on the luxuty yacht / business jet / first class flight / near luxury car. That person should not be a famous profile.
– 1-2 hotel / lifestyle pieces
– 1-2 travel / aviation pieces
– 1-2 cars
– 1-2 restaurants / nightlife
– 1-2 yachts / beach / marina pieces
– Additional pieces from other relevant luxury lifestyle categories

The exact distribution is not important. Overall quality, variety, and consistency are more important.

The test will be evaluated based on:

– Quality of research
– Ability to find non-obvious content
– Natural iPhone-like aesthetic
– Understanding of the target demographic
– Consistency
– Attention to detail
– Ability to distinguish authentic-looking lifestyle content from staged content
– Organization
– Source and usage awareness

IDEAL CANDIDATE

You should:

– Use Instagram extensively
– Understand Instagram aesthetics
– Have a strong eye for visual quality
– Understand luxury lifestyle content
– Be comfortable researching locations and profiles
– Have excellent attention to detail
– Be able to work independently
– Communicate clearly in English
– Be comfortable working with Google Drive and similar tools
– Be reliable and consistent
– Be able to follow detailed visual guidelines

Previous experience as an Instagram VA, content researcher, social media VA, influencer VA, or content curator is a plus.

IMPORTANT

I am NOT looking for someone who simply searches for "luxury lifestyle" and selects the first attractive images.

I am looking for someone who can curate a consistent and believable visual world.

The key skill is understanding the difference between:

"This is an expensive-looking photo."

AND

"This looks like a real moment from the life of a successful man in his early 30s."

The second type of content is what we are looking for.
