# U.S. Enrolled Agent — Offshore Tax Resolution Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly capable U.S. Enrolled Agent (EA) based in the Philippines to support U.S. federal tax resolution, tax compliance, and IRS representation matters.
This role is intended for a professional who can do more than prepare returns. The ideal candidate understands IRS procedure, can analyze taxpayer records and transcripts, communicate effectively with the IRS, and independently move tax-resolution cases toward resolution.
This is a full-time remote position supporting a U.S.-based tax resolution operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
```
- Represent taxpayers before the IRS within the scope permitted to Enrolled Agents
- Prepare and manage IRS Power of Attorney filings, including Form 2848
- Contact the IRS Practitioner Priority Service and other IRS departments on behalf of clients
- Obtain, review, and analyze:
- Account transcripts
- Wage and Income transcripts
- Tax Return transcripts
- Record of Account transcripts
- Collection history and account activity
- Identify outstanding tax filings, balances, penalties, compliance issues, and collection risks
- Develop recommended resolution strategies based on each client's financial and tax situation
- Assist with or independently manage:
- Installment Agreements
- Currently Not Collectible status
- Offers in Compromise
- Penalty Abatement
- Collection Due Process matters
- IRS notices and correspondence
- Levy and lien matters
- Revenue Officer cases
- IRS examination and audit support
- Prepare financial analysis and supporting documentation for Forms 433-A, 433-B, 433-F, and related collection forms
- Review client financial documents, including bank statements, income records, expenses, assets, liabilities, and business financials
- Determine IRS allowable expenses and reasonable collection potential where applicable
- Track case deadlines, IRS correspondence, follow-ups, and required client documentation
- Maintain detailed case notes and documentation within the company's CRM and case-management systems
- Communicate case status and required actions clearly to internal staff and, where assigned, directly to clients
- Work with tax preparers, case managers, sales personnel, and management to ensure cases progress efficiently
- Escalate complex or high-risk matters when appropriate
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with applicable U.S. tax-information security requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Active IRS Enrolled Agent credential
- Experience working with U.S. individual and/or business taxation
- Practical familiarity with IRS tax-resolution and collection procedures
- Experience reading and interpreting IRS transcripts
- Strong understanding of federal tax compliance requirements
- Comfortable communicating directly with IRS representatives
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong attention to detail and case documentation
- Ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Reliable computer, internet connection, and professional remote-work environment
- Ability to work hours that overlap substantially with U.S. business hours

- 2+ years of U.S. tax-resolution experience
- Experience working for a U.S. tax-resolution firm, CPA firm, EA firm, or tax law practice
- Experience handling IRS Collections cases from intake through resolution
- Experience with Forms 433-A, 433-B, 433-F, 656, 9465, 843, and related IRS forms
- Experience preparing or reviewing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120-S
- Familiarity with tax software, IRS transcript systems, CRM platforms, and document-management systems
- Experience communicating directly with U.S. clients
- Experience working remotely for a U.S.-based organization

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The strongest candidate is someone who can be given a taxpayer's file, obtain the appropriate authorization and transcripts, determine what is happening with the account, identify available resolution options, communicate with the IRS, document the case properly, and continue following the matter until the next required action or resolution.
We are specifically looking for real-world capability rather than credentials alone. An EA designation is required, but demonstrated experience, judgment, organization, and ability to independently manage tax-resolution work are equally important.
