JOB OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of this role will be editing videos for our Veterans First wellness program. You will take recorded instructor and educational videos and turn them into clean, professional finished videos using our provided branding and assets.

What You'll Do
Edit recorded wellness, fitness, yoga, meditation, and educational videos
Trim the beginning and end of recordings
Remove mistakes, long pauses, unnecessary sections, or dead space
Add provided Sofia Health/Veterans First intro and outro videos
Add provided images, graphics, logos, and other assets at the appropriate points
Add speaker or instructor names and titles when needed
Ensure audio is clear and volume is consistent
Add captions or on-screen text when requested
Follow established branding and video formatting guidelines
Review completed videos carefully before delivery
Export videos using the correct file format, resolution, and naming conventions
Organize project files and completed videos
Make revisions based on feedback

You may also occasionally help with other Sofia Health video projects, including:

Cutting short clips from podcasts or interviews
Creating Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media videos
Editing promotional or educational content
Adding B-roll, images, captions, music, or graphics to social videos
We're Looking for Someone Who
Has professional video editing experience
Is highly detail-oriented and catches small mistakes
Can follow a repeatable editing process and brand guidelines
Can make clean edits without overusing effects or transitions
Has good judgment about pacing, cuts, audio, and visual presentation
Can work independently and complete assignments on time
Is organized and comfortable managing multiple video files
Communicates clearly when instructions or source files are unclear
Has reliable internet and their own computer capable of video editing

Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar video editing software is preferred.

Please include a link to your portfolio or 2–3 examples of videos you have personally edited when applying.

Candidates selected for the next stage will complete a short video editing assessment using footage similar to the work required in this role.
