JOB OVERVIEW

We're hiring a Part-Time Video Editor and Virtual Assistant to support IT Impact Inc., a growing AI/Microsoft Copilot consulting firm. This is a dual-role position — video editing and event/admin support are equally important, and we need someone genuinely capable in both, not a video editor doing admin as an afterthought or vice versa.

Video Editing Responsibilities (roughly half your time):

Create and edit short-form videos for all social media channels (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn)
Use Descript for editing, captioning, and AI-assisted video production
Use Canva for thumbnails, graphics, and supporting visual assets
Follow our brand guidelines and existing content templates
Turn around raw footage into publish-ready videos on a regular cadence

VA / Event Coordination Responsibilities (roughly half your time):

Help confirm attendees for upcoming events (e.g., our September AI workshop)
Follow up with registrants to verify attendance and required credentials (e.g., Microsoft Copilot license)
Maintain accurate attendee tracking in a shared spreadsheet
Support other general administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

Demonstrated experience editing video in Descript (required — please share portfolio/samples)
Working knowledge of Canva for social graphics
Strong written English and professional communication
Highly organized, comfortable with spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel)
Reliable and responsive during US Central Time business hours

Details:

20 hours/week, part-time
$7–$10/hour, depending on experience
