About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CFD Modeller with expertise in building airflow, thermal analysis, and smoke management systems.
The role will involve undertaking advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling to assess mechanical airflow systems, temperature distribution throughout buildings, smoke movement, and smoke exhaust performance. You will work on a variety of commercial, industrial, residential, and specialist projects requiring detailed performance-based analysis and engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and analyse CFD models for building airflow and ventilation systems.
Undertake smoke movement and smoke exhaust modelling.
Perform temperature and heat transfer analysis throughout buildings.
Assess HVAC and mechanical ventilation performance.
Model smoke hazard management systems, stair pressurisation systems, and atrium smoke control systems.
Interpret simulation results and provide engineering recommendations.
Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation.
Work closely with engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients to develop practical solutions.
Skills & Experience
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar.
Proven experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling.
Strong understanding of:
Airflow and ventilation systems
