JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE ROLE

Palette Hunt is the second-largest color analysis website in the world. We are looking for a short-form video editor to help us publish one high-quality Instagram Reel per day.

The videos will analyze celebrities' color seasons, clothing colors, and beauty choices. The visual storytelling will be inspired by QOVES Studio, adapted into concise 30-60 second vertical videos.

We will provide an AI-assisted production pack containing:
- Script and voiceover
- Video structure and shot list
- Color palette and recommendations
- On-screen text
- Editing direction

Your role is to source suitable celebrity photos or clips and turn these materials into an engaging finished video.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Edit 30 vertical videos per month
- Deliver approximately 5-7 completed videos each week
- Find clear, high-quality celebrity photos or clips
- Add captions, color swatches, comparisons, and light motion graphics
- Match the visuals closely to the script and voiceover
- Maintain a consistent branded editing style
- Export videos in 1080 x 1920 format
- Complete one revision when necessary

Videos can be produced in weekly batches. You do not need to work every day.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Strong visual taste, particularly in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle content
- Experience editing Instagram Reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts
- Good written English and attention to detail
- Comfortable following detailed creative briefs
- Able to select flattering and relevant celebrity images
- Reliable with weekly deadlines
- Comfortable using AI-assisted workflows

CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve are all acceptable.

Color-analysis experience is helpful but not required. A genuine interest in beauty, personal styling, makeup, or fashion is more important.

COMPENSATION

The starting compensation is $180-$250 USD per month for 30 completed videos, depending on experience, portfolio quality, and editing ability.

Shortlisted applicants will complete one $5 paid test video before we select the editor.

This can become a stable, long-term position. Compensation can increase as the channel grows and you demonstrate excellent quality and reliability.

HOW TO APPLY

4. How long you expect one 30-60 second video to take when the script, voiceover, and editing brief are provided
