JOB OVERVIEW

Join Our Growing Team – Shul Administrator

We are looking for an exceptional individual to become the administrative backbone of our growing shul and community.

This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as our community continues to expand. We are looking for someone who is organized, personable, proactive, and excited to help build something meaningful.

Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the shul.
- Welcome and assist members and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
- Maintain membership records and databases.
- Coordinate programs, events, classes, and community communications.
- Process dues, donations, and assist with member collections.
- Maintain financial records using QuickBooks.
- Update and maintain the shul website and online presence.
- Support the Rabbi and Board with administrative projects and special initiatives.

Qualifications

- Understanding of how a synagogue/shul operates.
- Strong computer skills, including:
- Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- QuickBooks
- Shul management software (is a plus)
- Basic website management
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
- Friendly, professional, and able to communicate effectively with members of all ages.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
