Senior Pre-Press & Artwork
Remote, Philippines | Australian Printing Group

Umbra Core Collective is looking for an experienced Senior Pre-Press & Artwork professional to join our remote Philippines team and work closely with our Australian production and account management teams.
This is a hands-on senior technical role for someone who understands commercial printing, knows how to prepare artwork correctly for production and can take ownership of pre-press quality and daily workflow.
You will not just prepare artwork. You will also help coordinate the Pre-Press team's workload, check work before it enters production, coach other operators and identify artwork or workflow problems before they cause delays or rework.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Pre-flight and prepare customer artwork for production.
• Check files for bleed, resolution, fonts, colour, dimensions and production requirements.
• Amend artwork within approved job requirements.
• Prepare customer proofs and production-ready files.
• Review artwork completed by other Pre-Press Operators.
• Allocate and prioritise daily pre-press work.
• Identify errors before jobs reach production.
• Hold or reject artwork that is not production-ready.
• Maintain accurate job and workflow information in PrintIQ.
• Work closely with Australian Account Managers and Production teams.
• Provide technical coaching and guidance to other Pre-Press Operators.
• Communicate with customers by email where authorised for artwork and proof clarification.
• Assist with artwork requirements for outsourced production.
• Help improve pre-press systems, procedures and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For
You will ideally have:
• Strong commercial pre-press experience.
• Advanced skills in professional artwork and pre-press software.
• Excellent understanding of print-ready artwork.
• Strong pre-flight and proofing skills.
• Knowledge of colour, resolution, bleed, fonts and print specifications.
• Experience in commercial print production.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written English communication.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Confidence checking and reviewing other people's artwork.
• Ability to identify problems and take action early.
• Experience working independently and remotely.
Experience with PrintIQ, Australian print businesses, outsourced print production, digital print, offset print, wide-format or garment-decoration workflows will be highly regarded.
