Location: Remote (Philippines-based preferred)
Hours: 40 hrs/week
Pay: AUD $800–$1,200/month + 13th month, based on experience
Start: Immediate.

Who we are

Go Button Content is a Sydney-based video production, animation and photography studio. We make documentary-style, training, safety, and corporate content for organisations doing complex, essential work, mining, construction, oil and gas, local government, healthcare, etc.

We make informative content that audiences get value from and people actually want to watch. Often that is real stories about real people doing real work. We care about making a positive impact.

About the role

We're looking for someone to join us as an Editor & Social Media Assistant. This is a hands-on editing role focused on craft, plus running social content for us.

What you'll be doing:

Editing raw footage into polished deliverables.
Editing raw footage into social media cutdowns, drafts, and finished pieces
Organising and labelling interview footage using our editing method (training provided)
Preparing videos and graphics for review before they reach our director
Scheduling approved social media content.
General production admin: file organisation, status updates
Updating social media channels.

This is not a client-facing or project management role. Once you've built a strong track record with us, there's an option to start sending finished edits directly to a client and receiving their notes back, but that's several months out, and it stays a narrow exchange, not broader account management.

Who we're looking for:

Strong written and spoken English
Confident in Adobe Premiere Pro (Photoshop and After Effects a bonus)
Comfortable with Dropbox
Genuinely interested in storytelling, able to spot a theme in raw footage, not just cut where you're told
Organised, reliable, good attention to detail
Able to work within Australian Eastern time zone for a defined overlap window

Timeline:

2 weeks after submissions close 1st round short list will be given a short zoom interview.
2 weeks after first interviews, 2nd round shortlisted applicants will be given a 2nd interview & will be given a small paid test project before any ongoing commitment.
2 weeks after the paid test project, final decisions will be made.

Paid Editing Test Task:
You will be given footage to download and 4 hours to cut a 2-3 min documentary edit. This will be a paid on completion at $50 AUD.
