JOB OVERVIEW

Lux & Nyx | Full-time | Remote | Reports to CEO (Lisa) | Overlaps U.S. Central business hours | Long-term

ABOUT LUX & NYX

Lux & Nyx designs architectural handbags for professional women who refuse to choose between style and function. We've been featured in Forbes, Refinery29, NPR, and Marie Claire. We sell across Shopify DTC, Amazon, Nordstrom, and Macy's. We're a small, remote-first team led by founder Lisa Hu. We move fast. We build systems that compound. We hire people who can think and ship.

THE ROLE

You'll own L&N's marketing calendar and the campaigns that run through it — with Klaviyo as your primary channel. This is an execution-forward role with real strategic depth: you take campaign concepts set with Lisa and our designer, build them into campaigns, ship them, read the data, and iterate.

You're not a coordinator. You're not a head of growth. You're the marketing manager who actually runs the calendar — building, launching, measuring, refining. The big creative concepts come from the founder and creative lead; you're the person who turns them into a running, measurable program.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

- Campaign execution and calendar — turn campaign concepts (set with Lisa and our designer) into shipped campaigns: seasonal ---------- nts, product launches, promotional pushes. You own the sequence, timing, dependencies, and copy iteration to ship on time and on brand. Draft and manage the working marketing calendar 6-8 weeks ahead, and surface slips before they become fires.
- Klaviyo execution (primary channel) — build and launch Klaviyo campaigns and flows: welcome, post-purchase, abandoned cart, browse, win-back, VIP, and the review-generation system that lives inside the lifecycle (post-purchase email + packaging insert touchpoints). Audit what's underperforming, rebuild it, A/B test, iterate. Just as critical: grow the list — popup optimization, post-purchase opt-in, and list hygiene are part of this job, not someone else's problem.
- Performance analytics — live in the data: revenue per recipient, subscriber growth rate, flow attribution, open rate, click rate, conversion rate. Read it, interpret it, and change what you ship next based on what it tells you.
- Cross-channel coordination — connect the dots between DTC, email, Amazon, and retail ---------- nts so a launch or seasonal push lands everywhere it needs to.
- Tactical paid testing (secondary) — run small paid test budgets to drive controlled traffic for conversion-rate testing, asset performance, and PDP optimization. This is a testing instrument, not an acquisition channel — paid acquisition scaling, when it happens, will be handled by an outsourced expert who works from your learnings.
- Systems and SOPs — keep one source of truth, and document every recurring process into a short SOP so the work never lives in one person's head.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 4-6 years in marketing — ideally DTC e-commerce, lifecycle marketing, or brand marketing.
- Hands-on Klaviyo — you've built (not just managed) campaigns and flows that drove real revenue. This is the heart of the role.
- Small-list builder — bonus if you've taken a Klaviyo program from under 25K subscribers and grown it materially, or built the foundation flows on a brand at our stage. We want builders, not optimizers of someone else's mature program.
- Executor with brand sensibility — you take direction well, recognize good copy from generic, and iterate fast (with AI tooling support) until it lands.
- Data literate — CTR, conversion rate, and revenue per send aren't intimidating. You read them and act on them.
- Comfortable reading CTR and conversion concepts across channels, not just email — you can interpret Meta Ads metrics, design a basic test campaign, and read the results. (You won't be the paid acquisition lead; you'll use paid as a testing tool.)
- Strong copy execution — you can write a clean email brief, iterate copy in the L&N voice (with AI tooling support), and ship work that feels intentional, not generic.
- Comfortable in async, remote, founder-led environments, with meaningful overlap with U.S. Central business hours.
- AI-native preferred — you've built workflows where AI compresses your time: tools, prompts, verification habits. (Strongly preferred, not required.)
- DTC brand-side experience strongly preferred over agency-side.
- Here for the long haul — someone who wants to own this work and get great at it.

WHAT SEPARATES GREAT FROM GOOD

- Thinks in systems, not tasks — designs the campaign and the calendar that runs after it.
- Owns the metric — when someone asks "how's email performing?" you have the answer before they finish the question.
- Ships campaigns that feel intentional — through tight execution, brand sensibility, and copy iteration, not necessarily original concepts.
- Owns the brief once it's set — drives every dependency to ship on time and on brand.
- Comfortable with ambiguity — early-stage brand, things shift, you adapt.

HOW WE MEASURE SUCCESS

This is small-list stage, so the metrics are calibrated for the actual job — building the asset while pulling revenue out of it. We won't score you against benchmarks that assume a list you don't have yet. Targets calibrate quarterly.

- Net new email subscribers per month — growing the asset; calibrated with you after the first 30 days.
- Foundation flow revenue (welcome, abandoned cart, browse, post-purchase) — measurable attributable revenue from the top 4 flows within 90 days.
- Revenue per recipient on campaigns — $0.10-$0.30 (DTC fashion benchmark).
- Organic review rate (rolling 12-month) — growing meaningfully as the review system matures.
- DTC conversion rate (assist) — trending up quarter over quarter.
- Engagement health — open rate at or above 35%, click rate at or above 3%, unsubscribe under 0.5%.
- Execution discipline — on-time campaign launch at or above 95%, QA accuracy at or above 99%.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Cadence is intentional, decision rights are clear, and you have real autonomy to ship inside agreed scope.

- Weekly team sync (1 hour) — campaign health, calendar status, what's at risk.
- Monday 1:1 with Lisa (30 min) — priorities, blockers, decisions needed.
- Quarterly planning with Lisa and our creative lead — themes, major ---------- nts, KPI targets.
- Async-first via Slack — decisions documented, same-day response expected on blockers.
- Klaviyo consulting agency on retainer — you have access to a senior Klaviyo advisor for tricky architecture decisions, deliverability issues, and best-practice gut-checks. You drive the work; they're your expert backstop.

You can ship without approval: copy iterations, A/B tests, flow optimizations, calendar adjustments inside the approved quarter, and small paid tests.

You need Lisa's approval for: net-new campaigns or flows, calendar additions outside the approved quarter, larger paid tests, and anything that introduces a new brand-voice angle or net-new customer touchpoint.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Competitive compensation tied to experience and location, plus performance bonuses tied to KPIs. Paid PTO. Health stipend. Maternity leave. Remote-first culture with intentional async work.

HOW TO APPLY

Start your application with the word LIFECYCLE, and in three sentences tell us about an email flow or campaign you built from the ground up and the revenue it drove — what you built, how you measured it, and what you changed after reading the data. Then attach your resume. Applications that skip either step won't be read.

That first line is deliberate: it's how we see, before we ever meet, whether you read carefully and whether you think in terms of what you built and what it earned — not just tasks you completed.

ABOUT THE TEAM

We're a small, remote-first team. We run on weekly syncs, Monday 1:1s, and quarterly goal-setting during U.S. Central business hours. LATAM time zones overlap naturally; PH candidates should expect a U.S.-hours schedule. We lead before we're asked. We think from the customer's perspective. We grow with intention. We think deeply before we act. If that's how you work too, we'd love to meet you.
