JOB OVERVIEW

Full-time or part-time. Long-term. Remote.

Amazing opportunity!! We produce a health and wellness brand for a board-certified American physician. He records
a podcast and short videos; you turn them into finished episodes and clips that get posted
to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and YouTube.

This is a long-term role on a small team. We are not looking for a one-off project. If you
do this well, the work is steady and the pay goes up.

What you will actually do each week

- Cut podcast episodes (45 to 75 minutes each) into clean finished episodes with 1 minute intro hype previews.
- Produce viral short-form clips (podcast + separate unique reels) per month from that footage with captions, on-screen text, and simple B-roll
- Build carousel image posts from the same material.
- Deliver on a schedule

What we care about most

1. Your English has to be genuinely strong.
You will be writing on-screen text and captions that American women aged 40 to 60 will read.
Not translating - writing. A caption with awkward phrasing makes a doctor look less credible,
and credibility is the entire product here.

We are looking for DISC and English scores at the top of the range on your OnlineJobs.ph
profile.

2. A deep understanding of hook/retention editing techniques that retain viewers but not overstimulating. You need to genuinely understand American culture, content creation, and copywriting:

- when a sentence sounds natural versus when it sounds translated
- when a hook sounds confident versus when it sounds like an infomercial
- what reads as trustworthy to a middle-aged American woman, and what reads as a scam
- American idiom, humour and tone, including when NOT to be funny

Health content for this audience fails when it sounds salesy.

3. It's a fun working environment, so we're looking for individuals excited to work on this, help others along the way, and passionate about the health and wellness space! The more familiar you are with health and wellness influencers, the better.

The editing style we want

Read this part carefully, because it is the opposite of what most editors show in their
portfolio.

We want the message to be clear, not the editing to be impressive.

We have looked hard at what performs, and content that emphasises the *language* beats
content that emphasises the *production*, consistently. So:

- Clean cuts, tight pacing, no dead air.
- On-screen text that advances the point, not text that just repeats what he said.
- B-roll that matches what is being talked about at that ---------- nt.
- No flashy transitions, zoom effects, colour-shifting backgrounds, ---------- sound effects,
or constant motion. They make it harder to understand and we do not use them.

If your reel is full of effects, that is fine, but show us you can also do restrained,
clear, information-first editing, because that is what this job is.

Every short clip must make sense on its own. The person watching a clip has not heard the
episode. Do not leave in references to things said earlier that they will not have heard.

Requirements

- 2+ years editing short-form video for social media
- Strong written and spoken English
- Comfortable with editing platforms like Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or Descript (tell us which)
- Can cut long-form podcasts, not only shorts
- Reliable internet and the ability to handle large video files
- Some overlap with US Central Time for a check-ins
- Bonus: carousel or graphic design, thumbnail design, experience in health or wellness

How to apply

Please do not send a generic application. We read every one and generic ones get skipped.

Start your reply with the word "READY" so we know you read the whole posting.

Then send:

1. Two or three examples of short-form clips you personally edited or examples example of restrained, clear editing if you have it - talking-head or educational
content, minimal effects.
2. Answer this in 3 to 5 sentences, in your own words: an American woman, 48 years old,
is scrolling and sees a video from a doctor about menopause. What would make her trust him
in the first three seconds, and what would make her scroll away? We care much more about
how you think here than about the "right" answer.
3. Your monthly rate, and whether you want full-time or part-time.
