JOB OVERVIEW

The role

You'll own tax delivery. That means preparing and reviewing returns, managing workflow through TaxDome, and leading the preparers under you. You're the technical authority on the team and the person the firm relies on to make sure the work is right.

This is a senior seat with real ownership, not a data-entry role.

What you'll do
Prepare and review individual and business returns — 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065 — in Drake Tax
Serve as final technical reviewer; catch what others miss
Own tax workflow in TaxDome: pipelines, job templates, client tasks, document requests, e-signatures
Manage, train, and develop a team of preparers; assign work and hold the line on quality and deadlines
Handle multi-state filings, S-corp reasonable compensation, §199A, depreciation, and entity-level planning
Manage the season calendar — extensions, estimates, deadline tracking
Work directly with the founder on complex client matters and process improvement
What we're looking for
8+ years of hands-on US tax experience — preparation and review, not support
Expert-level Drake Tax. You know the software cold and can work in it at speed.
Expert-level TaxDome. You've built and run pipelines, job templates, and automations — not just clicked through someone else's setup.
Proven team leadership in an accounting or tax firm. You've managed preparers, reviewed their work, and been accountable for their output.
Deep command of US federal and multi-state tax law for small and mid-sized businesses
Excellent written and spoken English
Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional workspace

Compensation and schedule
$2,000 USD per month + Annual Performance Bonus
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Substantial overlap with US Eastern business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET)
