Company Overview. BKG is a Dutch home-renovation group with brands including Sanitairstudio (bathrooms) and Tegelstudio (tiles). We produce a lot of short-form content and need a fast editor who turns raw footage into polished, captioned shorts.
Job Description. You edit real footage into Reels / TikTok / Shorts: pacing, captions, music, light motion — keeping a consistent brand look and a fast turnaround. You work after the strategist and before the AI-editor. Your work is split fairly evenly across our bathroom brand (Sanitairstudio), the wider BKG group and our tile brand (Tegelstudio), so you switch between brand looks.
Major Functions.
• Edit raw footage into polished vertical shorts (Reels / TikTok / Shorts).
• Add accurate, well-timed captions (Opus / Submagic) and music.
• Add light motion / title elements; keep a consistent brand look.
• Work from shot lists and keep a fast, reliable turnaround.
Required Skills.
• 2+ years short-form editing with a portfolio.
• Strong pacing and captioning.
• Fast and reliable.
• Good written English.
• Nice-to-have: motion graphics, working from shot lists, B-roll sourcing.
Availability. ~20 hrs/week, flexible, with reliable daily responsiveness for turnaround.
Expectations. You turn footage around quickly without dropping quality: tight pacing, clean captions, on-brand finish. You follow the brief and flag when something’s unusable.
Working Conditions / Salary. $398/month. Part-time now, with room to grow as our content output scales.
Bonuses. Paid Time Off after 1.5 months · salary reviews every 2–3 months · professional-development budget · second monitor after 6 months · new laptop after 2 years.
How to Apply. Start your message with the word “CUT” so we know you read the full post. Then, briefly:
1. Share 2 short-form examples you edited (links).
2. What tools do you use for editing and captions, and what’s your typical turnaround for a 30–60s short from raw footage?
3. Pick one edit you’re proud of and name one specific choice you made (a cut, a caption timing, a motion element) and why.
We read every application that starts with the codeword and answers the questions specifically. Generic or copy-paste replies aren’t considered
