Head of Google Ads - Virtual Assistant

Salary: $2,000 AUD per month
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Philippine Time
Location: Remote
Position: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced Google Ads Manager to lead our Google Ads department.

This is not an entry-level position.

We are looking for someone with extensive hands-on experience running Google Ads for local service-based businesses, ideally within a digital marketing agency managing multiple client accounts.

You will be responsible for the full Google Ads process, from onboarding a new client through to launching, managing and improving their campaigns.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

* Onboarding new Google Ads clients
* Understanding each client’s business, services, locations and ideal customers
* Completing keyword research and identifying high-intent search terms
* Building keyword strategies based on buyer intent
* Creating and maintaining negative keyword lists
* Setting up Google Search campaigns from scratch
* Creating campaign and ad group structures
* Writing high-converting Google Ads headlines and descriptions
* Setting up keyword match types correctly
* Managing bidding strategies and budgets
* Setting up location targeting
* Setting up call assets and other relevant ad assets
* Building and improving landing pages
* Making sure landing pages match the keywords and ads being targeted
* Setting up Google Ads conversion tracking
* Setting up Google Tag Manager and GA4 where required
* Tracking phone calls, lead forms and other important conversions
* Testing that tracking is working correctly before campaigns launch
* Reviewing search term reports
* Adding negative keywords regularly
* Improving Quality Score and ad relevance
* Monitoring cost per lead and lead quality
* Adjusting bids, budgets, keywords and targeting based on performance
* A/B testing ads and landing pages
* Identifying campaigns, keywords and ads that are wasting money
* Scaling campaigns that are producing profitable leads
* Managing multiple client accounts at the same time
* Providing clear reporting on campaign performance
* Communicating with our internal team about client results and issues

What We’re Looking For

You must have:

* Extensive Google Ads experience
* Strong experience with local service-based businesses
* Previous digital marketing agency experience is highly preferred
* Experience managing multiple Google Ads accounts simultaneously
* Strong Google Search Ads experience
* Strong keyword research skills
* Strong negative keyword management
* Experience writing Google Ads copy
* Experience with landing pages and conversion optimisation
* Experience with Google Tag Manager
* Experience with GA4
* Strong conversion tracking knowledge
* Experience with call tracking
* A strong understanding of cost per lead, conversion rates and lead quality
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good written and spoken English
* Ability to work independently without needing constant direction

This Role Is About Generating Leads

We don’t care about vanity metrics.

The main goal is simple:

Generate high-quality leads for local service businesses at the lowest sustainable cost per lead.

You need to understand the difference between generating conversions inside Google Ads and generating leads that actually turn into customers for our clients.
