JOB OVERVIEW

We are an Australian construction and building materials company looking for an experienced Architectural Designer / Draftsperson & 3D Visualiser to assist with a warehouse/showroom design project in Perth, Australia.

This will be a paid trial project, with the opportunity for ongoing work if the quality is good.

PROJECT 1 – INTERNAL CLADDING FEATURE WALL

We have a large internal warehouse/showroom wall that will be used to display different architectural cladding products to builders, architects, designers and customers.

The designer will need to:

Review our existing architectural floor plans, elevations and sections.
Design the overall cladding wall layout.
Incorporate 3 different cladding installation styles, including horizontal lap cladding, horizontal panel cladding and vertical cladding.
Develop a modern, premium and architectural appearance.
Select suitable combinations from the colours and finishes we provide.
Design transitions, trims, panel joints and feature sections.
Prepare 2–3 initial design concepts.
Produce high-quality photorealistic 3D renders.
After approval, prepare a clear 2D elevation / layout drawing with dimensions, material references and installation directions.

PROJECT 2 – MAIN ENTRANCE / FAÇADE DESIGN

We also require a new architectural design for the main warehouse/showroom entrance.

The entrance should look modern, premium and impressive and create a strong first impression for customers, builders and architects visiting the showroom.

The designer will need to:

Develop a new entrance/façade concept around the existing main entry.
Incorporate architectural cladding and feature materials.
Consider signage/logo location, feature lighting and entrance detailing.
Coordinate the entrance design with the internal showroom/cladding wall design.
Provide 2–3 design concepts.
Produce realistic daytime and/or evening 3D renders.
Prepare elevation drawings for the selected design.

REQUIRED SKILLS

AutoCAD and/or Revit
SketchUp, 3ds Max or similar
Enscape, Lumion, V-Ray or equivalent
Architectural façade and exterior design
Cladding / building material knowledge preferred
Ability to read construction drawings
Ability to produce both technical drawings and high-quality 3D renders

IMPORTANT

We are not looking for someone who only produces interior decoration renders.

You must be able to understand architectural/construction drawings and turn the design into practical elevations and layouts that can later be used for construction.
