Website & SEO Ninja VA – Help Us Grow!

Are you a WordPress & SEO Ninja who loves finding opportunities and making websites better? Then I want to hear from you!

I am looking for a Website & SEO Ninja VA to join my small but growing counselling practice, Vida Life Counselling.

This is currently a part-time role of approximately 15–20 hours per month, but it is an important role within the business. Vida Life Counselling has grown significantly, and I am looking for someone who can help me continue that growth by improving our website, SEO and online visibility.

I am looking for someone who is proactive, highly detail-oriented and confident communicating in English. You will work directly with me, the business owner, and I will provide guidance, training and support where needed. I don't expect you to know everything, but I do expect you to be curious, resourceful and willing to find solutions.

Detailed Responsibilities
Your regular responsibilities will include:

1. WordPress Website Management
Update and maintain our WordPress website.
Create and edit pages, blogs and landing pages.
Upload downloadable resources and ensure forms and links work correctly.
Check the website regularly for errors and functionality issues.
Keep WordPress, plugins and themes updated as required.

2. SEO & Blog Writing
Complete ongoing SEO activities and keyword research.
Optimise website pages, headings, images, links and metadata.
Write and publish regular blog posts that are useful, engaging and SEO-friendly.
Identify new content opportunities that could bring the right people to our website.
Monitor Google Search Console and website performance.
You must be comfortable writing blog posts in English.

3. Google Business Profile & Online Visibility
Maintain and regularly update our Google Business Profile.
Create relevant posts and updates.
Look for opportunities to improve local SEO and online visibility.

4. PR & Growth Opportunities
Research relevant podcasts, interviews, publications and media opportunities.
Find opportunities for guest articles, expert commentary and stories.
Research potential PR campaigns and bring ideas to me.
Help prepare pitches and submissions where appropriate.

5. Reporting & Ideas
Keep track of website, SEO and content activities.
Provide a simple fortnightly update on what has been completed and what you recommend doing next.
Bring new ideas and opportunities to me rather than waiting to be told what to do. I need someone who loves what they do and can take ownership of their role.

Required Technical Skills & Experience
You should have experience with:

WordPress
SEO and keyword research
Writing blog posts and online content
Google Business Profile / local SEO
Excellent written and spoken English
Soft Skills

The right person will be:

Desired Technical Skills & Experience

These aren't essential but would be a big bonus:

PR or media outreach experience
Finding podcast and interview opportunities
Experience with mental health, counselling or professional services
Basic HTML/CSS
Experience with lead capture forms and downloadable resources

Work Schedule
This is currently a part-time role of approximately 15–20 hours per month.
The hours are flexible and can be arranged around agreed deadlines, but there is some requirement for you to communicate during Australian Business hours. As the business grows, there is potential for the role and hours to increase.
Salary

AUD $7–$9AUD per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
