I run a small web and media agency in Germany (
Two members of my team have been based in the Philippines for several months now and it has been working really well. That is exactly why I am hiring here again. You would not be the only one on the team.
Responsibilities:
Edit videos from raw footage: client videos, testimonials, ads, social media content
Cut vertical formats for Reels, TikTok and Shorts as well as landscape for YouTube and websites
Colour correction, audio cleanup, subtitles and captions
Simple motion graphics, lower thirds, logo animations and transitions
Photo editing and retouching: product shots, portraits, colour correction, background removal
Prepare and export images and videos in the right formats and sizes for web use
Keep files and project folders organised so anyone can find them later
Requirements:
Solid experience editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro
Photo editing in Photoshop or Lightroom
A good sense of pacing, rhythm and when a cut works
An eye for detail — clean audio levels, consistent colour, no sloppy exports
You speak up the same day when something takes longer or you get stuck, not at the deadline
Good written and spoken English
Stable internet with decent upload speed — you will be moving large files daily
A computer that can actually handle 4K editing without you waiting all day
Nice to have, not required:
After Effects — if you can do motion graphics and animation in After Effects, that is a big plus and it will show in the offer
Experience with DaVinci Resolve or CapCut
You already work with AI tools — Claude, Higgsfield or similar — and know how to use them in a real production workflow
Thumbnail design
Basic understanding of what performs well on social media
About software: We work with Adobe Creative Cloud, so Premiere Pro and After Effects are what we use. If you currently edit in DaVinci Resolve or CapCut and you are strong, still apply — but you should be willing and able to switch to Premiere.
How you get the footage:
Normally I upload all raw footage, images, music and briefing to Google Drive and you download it and edit locally on your own machine. If the files are large, you work with proxies in Premiere and send the project back so I can export at full resolution.
For large projects or when downloading is not practical, you can also connect to a dedicated machine of mine via RustDesk and edit directly there. We will set this up together.
Finished files come back through Google Drive or Dropbox, in the formats and resolutions I specify.
Tell me in your application which of the two you prefer and why — there is no wrong answer, I just want to know how you think about it.
Hours and how we work:
40 hours per week is preferred. If you are strong but can only do 20 hours, apply anyway and tell me — I would rather have a good person part time than an average one full time.
Your schedule is flexible, but I need at least four hours of overlap with German business hours. That is roughly 3 PM to 7 PM Manila time.
We use Google Meet for calls, Google Drive or Dropbox for files, and RustDesk when you need remote access to my machine.
For the first weeks we will have regular calls where we go through projects together so you learn exactly what I expect. After that you work largely on your own.
What I offer:
A long-term position, not project work — I am hiring someone I intend to keep for years
Direct communication with me, no layers in between
Real training at the start instead of being thrown at a task list
Your portfolio is the most important part of your application. Without work samples I cannot judge you and I will not reply.
Send me:
Links to two or three videos you edited. Use YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive or
Two or three examples of your photo editing or retouching work.
Which software do you use day to day, and how confident are you in After Effects? Have you worked with proxy workflows in Premiere, or edited remotely on someone else's machine? Do you use any AI tools in your workflow?
What hourly rate are you looking for (in USD), how many hours per week can you commit, and what does that come to as a monthly figure?
What are your internet upload and download speeds, what computer do you edit on, and what is your setup when there is a brownout?
