Paydora is a payments platform, deposits and payouts moving through multiple providers, all day, every day. We're small, and you'd be our first dedicated QA.
The role
Know the system better than anyone, catch problems before customers do, and make sure the ones you find get fixed.
- Own release testing. Nothing ships without you having walked it.
- Triage what comes in. D
- Fix the small things yourself, copy, labels, validation - and raise the PR.
- Improve coverage of our end-to-end automated test suite.
- Watch production logs for payouts that have stopped moving.
What we need
- You communicate well. This matters most. Bug reports an engineer can act on without a follow-up question. Clear explanations to non-technical people. You ask early instead of guessing, and you respond fast when money is stuck.
- You have a CS or software background. Enough to read code and form a hypothesis about where a bug lives. Comfortable with a terminal, git, logs, and writing your own database queries. You understand APIs and webhooks.
- You test properly. 2+ years on web apps, ideally something with money or accounts in it. You design cases from requirements instead of clicking around, and you have instincts for the edges - zero, negative, duplicate, concurrent, out of order, double-click, back button.
- You can automate. You've written automated tests and can show us the code. We use JavaScript/TypeScript.
Nice to have:
Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium. Appium or mobile automation. Fintech or payments experience.
