Full-time independent contractor

Compensation: PHP 55,000–75,000 per month *as a fixed contractor payment, depending on directly relevant experience and demonstrated capability.*

This is for an experienced travel professional who can transform a destination idea into an unforgettable journey.

We are a small European adventure-travel company that organises group hiking and adventure tours for local customers. Our destinations include Nepal, Japan, Peru and destinations across Africa and Europe.

We are looking for a Philippines-based tour professional who can help us research, develop, publish and operate international tours. You will work directly with destination management companies, evaluate complex travel arrangements, maintain accurate budgets and support customers throughout the booking and pre-departure process.

What You’ll Own

Research and evaluate destination management companies in countries around the world.

Arrange and manage direct bookings for flights, accommodation, transfers and other travel services, including confirmations, payment deadlines and changes.

Work with DMCs to develop distinctive itineraries for European adventure travellers.

Assess hotels, guides, transportation, activities, trekking arrangements and meal plans.

Prepare detailed tour budgets and accurate selling-price calculations.

Compare supplier proposals and identify missing services, unclear assumptions and financial risks.

Create clear itineraries, customer FAQs, packing information and pre-departure documents.

Publish new tours and maintain accurate tour information on our website.

Manage bookings, balance payments, passenger information and important deadlines.

Answer routine customer questions professionally by email.

Maintain organised records of supplier agreements, quotations, payments and tour status.

Monitor each departure and identify potential problems before they become emergencies.

Use AI responsibly for research and drafting while independently verifying prices, dates, entry requirements and other important information.

Promptly inform the company owner of any safety, financial, contractual or unusual matters that require review or a decision.

What Success Looks Like

Tour proposals are complete, accurate and commercially realistic.

Budgets contain verified prices, realistic assumptions and clearly documented margins.

Supplier and customer deadlines are consistently met, with any risk of delay communicated early.

Passenger records and booking information remain current.

Customer documents are accurate, helpful and delivered on time.

Risks, errors and operational changes are communicated promptly.

DMCs and customers receive professional and timely communication.

The owner can see the current status of every tour without searching through emails and spreadsheets.

Required Experience

At least three years of experience in outbound tour operations, tour-product development, DMC contracting, adventure travel or a closely related position.

Experience communicating with international suppliers.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.

Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

Sound commercial judgement and problem-solving ability.

Ability to manage multiple departures, deadlines and supplier relationships.

Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Reliable computer, internet connection and backup connectivity.

Working Arrangement

Fully remote position based in the Philippines

Ongoing, full-time independent-contractor engagement

Approximately 40 hours of weekly capacity

Working hours that overlap with the European morning, with the working day ending no later than 7:00 p.m. Philippine time

Regular communication with the company owner

Fixed monthly contractor payment covering the agreed capacity and responsibilities

Initial onboarding, training and documented operating procedures

Performance evaluated through accuracy, completed work, deadlines, communication and operational results
