I’m looking for a full-time 3D product visualization artist to create photorealistic renders of board game packaging for Mobamon – including game boxes, card decks, tuck boxes, and related components. You’ll take flat artwork and dielines from our designer and turn them into realistic 3D models and renders we can use for marketing, ads, and e?commerce listings.
Your main tasks will include:
1 Modeling boxes, card decks, and simple inserts in Blender (or similar tools) with accurate dimensions.
2 Applying print-ready artwork (AI/PSD/PDF) to models via clean UV mapping and alignment.
3 Building realistic PBR materials for cardboard, paper, matte/gloss finishes, and plastic wrap.
4 Setting up studio-style lighting and camera angles for clean front, angled, group, and exploded renders.
5 Exporting high?resolution stills (and occasional short turntable animations) suitable for product pages and social media.
6 Animate camera moves, turntables, and simple object motions to showcase packaging and components.
7 Produce smooth, loopable clips (5–30 seconds) suitable for Reels, TikTok, and promo videos, and export in common formats (MP4, image sequences)
You should already have a portfolio of product or packaging renders (not just characters or environments), be comfortable working in Blender or similar 3D software, and be able to collaborate with a remote game designer/artist to match brand and colours. Experience with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop for handling dielines and logos is important. In addition to still images, you’ll also create short product animations (turntables, simple reveals, fly?throughs) for trailers, social media, and marketing videos.
Please include:
Links/images to 3–5 of your best product/packaging renders.
A list of your main tools (e.g., Blender, Substance, Photoshop, Illustrator) and your experience level with each.
A short explanation of how you go from a flat box dieline to a finished 3D render.
