About Soma Circuit

Soma Circuit is a nervous-system regulation app founded by an Australian clinical psychologist. We create practical, evidence-informed tools to help people regulate when they feel overwhelmed, flat or steady.

We are looking for a highly capable, creative and fast-learning Viral Content & Affiliate Growth Coordinator to join the business and grow into a full-time role. We are looking for someone with an IQ of 120+ and will kindly ask for shortlisted applicants to complete an IQ test as part of the screening process.

This is not a traditional virtual assistant position. We are looking for someone who can combine strong short-form content creation with disciplined outreach and social-media execution.

The role will be approximately:

60% Social Media Content Creation & Management
40% Affiliate, Creator & Practitioner Outreach

The founder will provide the core psychology ideas, brand direction, app messaging, viral-format inspiration and final approvals. Your role will be to turn those ideas into compelling content and execute the growth system consistently.

Hours and progression
Weeks 1–4: 24 hours/week
Weeks 5–8: 32 hours/week

Week 9 onward: progression toward full-time, based on strong performance

We are looking for someone who wants to grow with Soma Circuit long term.

Starting pay: US$6/hour, with pay reviews as responsibilities and performance increase.

60% — Content creation and social-media management

You will:
Research high-performing TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts formats.
Identify viral hooks, storytelling structures and content trends relevant to psychology, wellness, relationships, burnout, ADHD and nervous-system regulation.
Turn founder-provided ideas into engaging short-form scripts.
Generate multiple hooks and creative variations for testing.
Edit short-form videos using CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar tools.
Create polished but platform-native content that does not feel like traditional advertising.
Repurpose one strong content idea into several versions.
Adapt videos for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and ---------- .
Create Canva graphics, carousels, covers and thumbnails.
Write platform-specific captions and CTAs.
Schedule and publish approved content.
Maintain an organised content calendar.
Monitor views, retention, engagement and other performance indicators.
Identify winning formats and create improved variations.
Use AI tools to increase production speed and creative output.
We are particularly interested in someone who understands why content performs, not just someone who can make attractive videos.

40% — Affiliate, creator and practitioner outreach

You will:
Research relevant creators, psychologists, coaches and wellness practitioners.
Identify potential affiliate partners in Australia, the UK and the USA.
Research each prospect carefully before contact.
Draft personalised emails and direct messages using approved templates.
Use ChatGPT or other AI tools to assist with personalisation without inventing information.
Manage follow-ups consistently.
Maintain an accurate CRM or outreach database.
Support affiliate onboarding.
Provide approved links, resources and promotional materials.
Track which partners have been contacted, responded, joined or generated results.
Maintain a professional, warm and respectful communication style.
AI-first working style
Soma Circuit actively uses AI to improve productivity.

You should be comfortable using tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to:

Analyse viral content.
Generate hook variations.
Improve scripts.
Adapt content between platforms.
Draft outreach.
Review captions and replies.
Summarise analytics.
Build and improve workflows.
AI should make you faster and more capable, but you are responsible for final quality, accuracy and judgement.

Essential skills

Excellent written English.
Strong creative instincts.
Experience creating TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.
Strong short-form video-editing ability.
Canva experience.
Good understanding of social-media hooks, retention and storytelling.
Excellent online research skills.
Strong organisation and attention to detail.
Comfortable using ChatGPT or similar AI tools.
Able to take feedback and improve quickly.
Reliable and comfortable with both creative work and repetitive follow-up.

Highly regarded

Evidence that your content has significantly outperformed the follower count of the account.
Experience creating viral or high-performing short-form content.
Affiliate or influencer outreach experience.
Cold-email or partnership outreach experience.
Interest in psychology, mental health, wellness or human behaviour.
Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva, Metricool, Buffer, Airtable or Notion.
Experience using AI for content production.

What success looks like

Within the first few months, you should be able to:
Produce a reliable flow of strong short-form content.
Generate and test multiple creative hooks each week.
Consistently publish across Soma Circuit’s major platforms.
Identify which content formats are gaining traction.
Maintain an organised affiliate and practitioner outreach pipeline.
Follow up reliably with prospective partners.
Help grow app awareness, trials, affiliates and paid subscribers.

1. A short timed cognitive ability assessment
This will assess problem-solving, logical reasoning, verbal reasoning and learning speed. It is designed to be completed independently without AI assistance or outside help.

2. A short practical assessment
Candidates who perform strongly will complete a brief practical task based on the actual work involved in this role. This will include analysing a short-form social-media concept, developing hooks/content ideas and demonstrating how they would approach affiliate or practitioner outreach.

3. Final interview
The strongest candidates will then be invited to a video interview to discuss their thinking, experience, creative judgement and approach to the role.
The practical assessment will be kept short and focused. Any substantial work requested from final-stage candidates will be paid.
