Position Overview
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for helping Boeshaar Law attract qualified prospective clients, strengthen referral relationships, maintain consistent visibility in the marketplace, and track the effectiveness of all marketing activities.
This position combines hands-on marketing execution with regular analytics and reporting. The goal is not simply to “do marketing,” but to help the firm understand what is working, what is not working, where leads are coming from, and which marketing activities are producing consults, retained clients, and revenue.
This role is based on the following roles, which emphasize content creation, social media, campaign management, referral source development, client communication, tracking prospective clients/referral sources/leads, and weekly reporting.
Primary Purpose of the Position
This role is designed to support the firm's marketing efforts by creating compelling content, managing social media, and executing effective marketing campaigns. The Marketing Specialist will contribute to the firm's success by enhancing its visibility and reputation, ultimately supporting business development goals.
The person in this role will coordinate and execute approved marketing activities, maintain marketing systems, support referral and client communication, and provide regular reporting on leads, prospects, consults, referral sources, campaigns, and marketing return on investment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy Support and Execution
The Marketing Specialist will help implement the firm’s approved marketing plan. This includes coordinating marketing projects, tracking deadlines, following up with vendors, and making sure campaigns are completed on time.
Responsibilities include:
• Assist with developing and executing approved marketing campaigns.
• Maintain the firm’s marketing calendar.
• Coordinate daily and weekly marketing tasks.
• Work with attorneys, staff, contractors, copywriters, designers, website vendors, and other vendors.
• Keep marketing projects organized and moving forward.
• Maintain marketing materials in accessible electronic folders.
• Make recommendations for improvements based on campaign results and observed trends.

2. Marketing Analytics and Reporting
The Marketing Specialist will maintain a marketing analytics dashboard and provide weekly and monthly reports to the Owner. The purpose is to create a data-driven feedback system so the firm can make better marketing decisions. Responsibilities include:
• Track all leads by source, including referrals, Google, website, paid ads, social media,
• Track the movement from lead to scheduled consultation, consultation completed, retained client, and revenue collected.
• Track referral sources and report which referral sources are sending leads and which are converting.
• Track website, SEO, PPC, social media,
• Track cost per lead, cost per consult, cost per retained client, and estimated return on investment.
• Maintain current client/prospect/lead statistics and report weekly to the Owner.
• Report on new prospects, leads, consults, proposals, retained clients, campaign trends, and follow-up status.
• Review marketing and sales “glidepath” metrics weekly or monthly.
• Identify what is working, what is not working, and what should be adjusted.
The job involves tracking prospective clients, referral sources, leads, client/prospect statistics, campaign performance, and marketing metrics to support data-driven decisions.
3. Content Creation and Distribution
The Marketing Specialist will help create and distribute content that builds trust, educates prospective clients, and reinforces the firm’s reputation as a tax controversy and IRS defense firm. Responsibilities include:
• Draft, edit, proofread, and coordinate content for blog posts, newsletters,
• Collaborate with the Owner and attorneys to turn frequently asked client questions into marketing content.
• Maintain an editorial calendar.
• Ensure content is accurate, professional, clear, and consistent with the firm’s voice.
• Repurpose content across multiple channels when appropriate.
• Coordinate with outside writers, designers, or vendors when needed.
Core responsibilities include content creation for blog posts, newsletters, articles, and social media, along with collaboration with attorneys and staff.
4. Website, Social Media, and Digital Marketing
The Marketing Specialist will help maintain the firm’s online presence and coordinate digital marketing efforts. Responsibilities include:
• Keep the firm’s website content current and accurate.
• Coordinate website edits with the website vendor or make approved updates directly through WordPress or another content management system.
• Manage or assist with LinkedIn,
• Schedule approved social media posts.
• Monitor comments, reviews, messages, and reputation-related issues.
• Assist with SEO, directory listings, PPC, and digital advertising coordination.
• Track digital marketing metrics and make recommendations based on performance.
The core responsibilities include website updates, social media, YouTube, directory listings, PPC, reputation management, and web analytics.
5. Referral Source and Relationship Marketing
The Marketing Specialist will support the firm’s referral marketing systems and help maintain strong relationships with referral sources, former clients, and professional contacts. Responsibilities include:
• Maintain and update referral source lists.
• Track referral source activity and results.
• Help schedule lunches, coffees, calls, and follow-up meetings with referral sources.
• Prepare materials for referral source meetings.
• Send thank-you notes, cards, newsletters, gifts, and follow-up communications.
• Assist with “Team 100” or similar relationship marketing systems.
• Support post-case follow-up systems to nurture past clients and referral relationships.
• Identify new potential referral sources and target-rich environments for the firm.

7. Event, Webinar, and Seminar Support
Responsibilities include:
• Identify possible speaking opportunities, webinars, seminars, podcasts, networking events, and community education opportunities.
• Coordinate event logistics, invitations, registration, attendance tracking, materials, and follow-up.
• Prepare attorneys for events with materials, schedules, talking points, and follow-up lists.
• Track event results, including leads generated, consults scheduled, retained clients, revenue, and cost per result.
• Provide post-event reports and recommendations.
The core responsibilities include identifying organizations willing to invite attorneys to speak, arranging seminars, coordinating event logistics, managing registrations, and tracking post-event follow-up.
Weekly Reporting Responsibilities
Each week, the Marketing Specialist should provide a concise report to the Owner that includes:
• New leads by source.
• Consultations scheduled.
• Consultations completed.
• New clients retained.
• Revenue attributed to marketing sources, where trackable.
• Referral sources who sent leads.
• Campaigns launched or completed.
• Website, SEO, PPC,
• Follow-up items overdue or needing attorney input.
• Recommendations for what to continue, stop, or improve.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred, but not required if the candidate has strong experience.
• One to three years of experience in marketing, professional services, law firm marketing, client intake, sales support, or related work.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with attorneys, clients, referral sources, vendors, and tea
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel or Google Sheets, CRM systems,
• Familiarity with WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, SEO, PPC, Canva, Adobe, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Lawmatics, or similar tools is a plus.
• Ability to interpret marketing data and turn it into practical recommendations.
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
• Positive, professional, no-drama personality.
• Willingness to learn tax controversy marketing and the firm’s voice.
