JOB OVERVIEW

Read this entire post before applying. Most applications are rejected in under sixty seconds.

We are a US women's fashion brand headquartered in Los Angeles. We run our own warehouse, launch 30 new products every two weeks, and move real volume. The owner runs 30+ employees across multiple companies. This seat reports into our LA management team and sits with the owner every single week.

We are filling one position:

[Data Analytics Specialist / Merchandising Specialist / Website and UX Coordinator]

Who we are actually looking for

You have held a real position at a real company. You have owned a function, not a queue of tasks. You have sat in rooms where decisions were made and you were expected to arrive with a point of view.

You are exceptionally analytical. You do not look at a dashboard and describe it. You look at it and find the thing nobody else noticed, then you build the case for what to do about it. You know the difference between a number that moved and a number that matters. You can take a messy export, find the story inside it, and explain that story to a non-technical person in one paragraph.

You know Shopify end to end. Not the basics. Everything. Collections and automated collection rules, tags, metafields, variants and inventory logic, Search and Discovery, filtering, analytics and custom reports, discounts and price rules, theme sections and templates, apps and where they break, checkout behaviour, and how all of it connects. If your Shopify experience is "I've uploaded products," this is not your role.

You manage yourself, completely. Nobody will build your day for you. You will not be handed a list of ideas to execute. You are expected to generate the ideas, prioritise them yourself, and defend why you chose one over another. If you finish everything by 2pm, you go find the next problem. That single trait matters more to us than anything on your CV.

You will lead. You are one of three specialists who run this department together, and you are expected to lead within it, hold the other two to the standard, and grow into managing people directly as we scale. We promote from this seat. We do not hire above it.

You are relentless about time. You push the limit of what can be done in a working day, every day. You are not busy, you are productive, and you know the difference. Slow weeks are visible here and they are not tolerated for long.

You have real interpersonal skill. You work daily with our LA marketing manager, inventory manager, designer, email and social leads, and the owner. You can disagree with someone senior, make your case cleanly, and then commit to whatever gets d ---------- . You bring problems early, not late. You are the person others want on the call.

You write and speak English at a native US standard. Not "good English." American level. Ideally you have lived, studied or worked in the United States, or spent years working directly with American executives, and it shows in how you write. We will know within two sentences.

Results, plainly

You will own a specific set of numbers. Conversion, average order value, sell through, revenue per visitor, depending on the seat. Every Friday you report what you changed and what it moved. Every month we look at whether the business actually improved.

This is a high accountability seat with real upside. People who move the numbers grow quickly here and are paid accordingly. People who cannot, do not stay. We are direct about this on day one so nobody is surprised at day 90.

Do not apply if

Your background is customer service, chat support, appointment setting, cold calling, lead generation, or general VA work
You need a script, a checklist, or daily instructions to be productive
You have never owned a number a business cared about
You want part time, or plan to run this alongside other clients
You are applying to more than three jobs today

The details

Full time, 40 hours per week, single client, long term
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Los Angeles time. Roughly midnight to 8:00 AM Manila. Do not apply unless that is genuinely sustainable for you
Reachable and ready to join a call at short notice throughout those hours, camera on
Two short team stand ups daily, plus two meetings a week with LA management and ownership
Reports to our Marketing Manager and Inventory Manager. Weekly with the owner
Up to $2,500 per month, based on what you actually bring. Reviewed at 90 days
Clear path into a leadership seat as the department grows

How to apply

Applications that skip any step are deleted unread.

Begin your message with the word CALIBER
In three sentences: the most important decision you made in a previous role, and what happened as a result
The number you were responsible for in your last job, and whether you moved it
Answer honestly: if you finished all your assigned work by 2pm, what would you do with the rest of the day?
Rate your Shopify knowledge one to ten and justify the number with something specific you have built or fixed
Your internet setup, and your backup when the power or connection drops
A 90 second Loom or unlisted YouTube video introducing yourself. No script. We are listening to how you think and how you speak

No generic cover letters. No unrelated portfolios. Answer the seven items and nothing else.

Shortlisted candidates complete a paid test task on our real data, then interview on video with our LA team and the owner.
