# Part-Time Founding Operations Coordinator
**Remote | 8–10 hours/week to start | $10–12 USD/hour**
## About HighHER TogetHER
HighHER TogetHER is a new leadership development company helping girls in grades 5–12 build the skills they will need to lead—in school, in their communities, and eventually in the workplace.
We are launching our first programs in North Carolina this fall and building toward a model that can eventually expand into communities across the country.
I am the founder, and I’m looking for a highly organized, resourceful person who can work closely with me as I build the company.
This is not a role where I simply need someone to complete a list of administrative tasks. I’m looking for someone who enjoys taking lots of ideas and moving pieces and helping turn them into organized, finished work. I need someone who can think, communicate exceptionally well, take initiative, and increasingly help make sure important things don’t fall through the cracks.
## What You Might Work On
**No two days will look exactly alike.** Projects may include:
* Creating Canva graphics and preparing social media posts
* Drafting
* Helping manage enrollment and parent communications through Sawyer
* Researching grant opportunities and helping organize and prepare applications
* Organizing curriculum, activities, facilitator materials, and other program resources
* Coordinating logistics with program locations, including rooms, audiovisual needs, catering, parking, and schedules
* Helping recruit and coordinate mentors, volunteers, guest speakers, and community partners
* Coordinating student leadership assessments and related program logistics
* Researching projects such as accreditation, insurance, vendors, venues, and potential partnerships
* Maintaining project trackers, deadlines, follow-up lists, files, and operating procedures
* Helping create systems so that the work we develop can eventually be replicated as HighHER TogetHER grows
You’ll also use AI tools such as ChatGPT to help research, organize ideas, prepare first drafts, and work more efficiently. I value people who know how to use AI well while still bringing their **own judgment, ideas, voice, and personality** to the work.
## Who I’m Looking For
You may be a great fit if you are:
* Exceptionally organized and dependable
* An **excellent written and spoken English communicator**
* Proficient with Canva and Google Workspace
* Comfortable using ChatGPT and other AI tools
* A strong online researcher who can turn what you find into useful next steps
* Detail-oriented and excellent at following through
* Comfortable learning new software
* Able to manage several different projects and workstreams at once
* Resourceful and willing to figure things out before immediately asking for help
* Someone who enjoys bringing ideas and possible solutions—not just identifying problems
* Interested in education, leadership, girls’ development, entrepreneurship, or mission-driven work
Most importantly, I’m looking for someone who is **proactive AND communicative**.
If you notice something that needs attention, I want you to notice it. If a deadline is approaching, I want you to flag it. If you see an opportunity to make something work better, I want you to suggest it.
At the same time, especially while we are learning how to work together, I want someone who keeps me informed and checks in rather than making assumptions about important decisions. Initially, I would much rather hear, **“I noticed this, here’s what I think we should do, and here’s what I can take care of,”** than discover later that something was handled in a way I didn’t expect.
As trust develops, so will independence and responsibility.
## How We’ll Work Together
This will be a close working relationship.
For the first several weeks, I anticipate having a brief Zoom check-in on most working days so we can review priorities, answer questions, and establish good systems together.
As we develop a rhythm, that will likely taper to three meetings per week and eventually approximately two regular check-ins each week.
Because I am based in North Carolina, you must have some working availability that overlaps with **U.S. Eastern Time during da
Between meetings, we’ll communicate electronically and use shared systems to keep projects, deadlines, follow-ups, and priorities organized.
## The Opportunity
This position is **intentionally part-time to begin**, at approximately **8–10 hours per week at $10–12 USD/hour**, with an initial paid trial period.
I am looking for someone who is genuinely comfortable with that level of commitment now and interested in building a **long-term working relationship**. This is not intended to be a temporary position for someone who needs full-time employment in the immediate future.
At the same time, HighHER TogetHER is an early-stage company with plans to grow. If the company grows as anticipated and this person proves to be an exceptional fit, there may be opportunities for the role, responsibilities, hours, and compensation to grow substantially over time. That growth is not guaranteed, but I would love to find someone who is excited by the possibility of growing with the company.
I’m hoping to find more than someone who can complete tasks. I’m looking for a smart, energetic, highly capable person who enjoys figuring things out, helping build something from the ground up, and becoming increasingly valuable to the organization over time.
