Video Editor – Construction Time-Lapse & YouTube Post-Production (Full-Time, WFH)`
Turn 6 months of construction into 16 minutes people can't stop watching.
You build things — garages, barndominiums, full custom structures — and we film every single day of it. Cameras run from the first stake in the ground to the final light switch. What we need is the person who can take thousands of hours of that footage and turn it into a time-lapse that makes viewers say *"whoa"* out loud.
If you've ever watched a start-to-finish build video and thought *"I could cut that better"* — this is your role.
You'll work from home, on a predictable schedule, with a team that actually gives feedback, pays on time, and lets you own your edits.
What You'll Do
- Edit long-form construction time-lapse videos (10–20 min finished runtime) from start-to-finish build footage
- Process interval/GoPro/DSLR time-lapse sequences — deflicker, stabilize, ramp speed, smooth transitions between days
- Sync and cut multicam footage (drone, ground cam, POV, handheld B-roll) into one clean story
- Color correct and color grade for a consistent, punchy look across weeks of changing weather and light
- Design sound: music selection, timing beats to the build, ambient layers, SFX for satisfying
- Add clean motion graphics — day counters, lower thirds, callouts, titles, end screens
- Cut vertical Shorts/Reels/TikToks from the same footage for social distribution
- Add accurate captions/subtitles and export to spec for YouTube and social platforms
- Manage and organize large footage libraries, project files, and backups
- Apply feedback quickly and hit publish deadlines
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years editing video — time-lapse, construction, real estate, DIY, or documentary experience is a big plus
- Strong with Adobe Premiere Pro **or** DaVinci Resolve (either is fine — we care about the result)
- Comfortable with After Effects or Fusion for basic motion graphics
- Experience handling large media files, proxies, and long-form timelines without breaking a sweat
- A real eye for pacing — you know when to hold a shot and when to cut
- Reliable internet (at least 20 Mbps) and a computer that can handle 4K editing
- Good written English for feedback threads and file notes
- Dependable, organized, and communicates when something's blocking you
**Nice to have (not required):** LRTimelapse, Topaz Video AI, Adobe Audition, drone footage experience, YouTube thumbnail or channel-growth knowledge.
Don't tick every box? Apply anyway. A strong reel beats a long résumé here.

About The Company
We're a remote-first media company producing long-form build and construction content for YouTube and social platforms. Our videos document real projects end to end — no staged sets, no stock footage — and our audience shows up for the craft. The team is fully distributed, deadline-driven, and small enough that your edits genuinely shape the channel.
Why Work With Us
- **Your work gets seen.** These aren't corporate videos filed away in a folder — they go out to a real audience that comments on every cut.
- **Creative ownership.** You'll have real input on pacing, music, and structure. We hire editors, not button-pushers.
- **Straight answers.** Clear briefs, honest feedback, no guessing what the client wants.
- **Long-term.** We're looking for someone to grow with the channel for years, not a one-off project hire.
- **Respect for your time.** No surprise midnight revisions, no unpaid "test projects" that run for weeks.
How To Apply
Email
1. **A video sample in this style** — a time-lapse, construction, build, or start-to-finish edit you personally cut. Send a YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive link (make sure the link is set to public or "anyone with the link").
2. **A short introduction about yourself** — a few sentences, or a quick 60-second video if you'd rather talk than type. Tell us who you are, what you edit, and what software you use.
3. Put **BARNDOMINIUM** in your subject line so we know you read the full posting.
That's it — no long forms, no cover letter. Your edit does the talking.
We review applications daily and are hiring immediately. Send your reel now — the sooner it's in, the sooner you're on the shortlist.
