# Operations & Lead Generation Virtual Assistant
**Organization:** Boulder Opera Company
**Location:** Remote — Philippines
**Hours:** Approximately 10 hours per week to start
**Schedule:** Primarily flexible, with 2–3 hours of weekly overlap with Mountain Time
**Compensation:** $6–$11 USD per hour, depending on experience

## About Boulder Opera Company
Boulder Opera Company is a nonprofit performing arts organization based in Boulder, Colorado. We produce professional opera performances, family programming, school outreach, community events, and fundraising initiatives.
We are entering our 15th season and are looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive virtual assistant to support our daily operations and help us identify new sponsors, advertisers, donors, and community partners.
## About the Position
This is a combined VA operations and lead-generation role. You will help us stay organized, track projects, research prospective partners, prepare personalized outreach, and make sure important tasks and follow-ups do not fall through the cracks.
This position is best for someone who enjoys research, systems, organization, and thoughtful written communication. Most outreach will initially take place through
## Primary Responsibilities
### Lead Generation and Outreach
* Research potential corporate sponsors, advertisers, restaurant partners, donors, and community partners in Colorado
* Identify appropriate decision-makers and find accurate contact information
* Create and maintain organized prospect lists
* Research each business before outreach and identify possible connections to our programs
* Draft short, personalized introductory
* Send approved outreach
* Schedule follow-ups and remind tea
* Maintain a clear sponsorship and partnership pipeline
* Track measurable results, including leads researched,
### Operations Support
* Update Trello, Google Sheets, shared calendars, and contact databases
* Track deadlines, assignments, and outstanding follow-ups
* Prepare simple weekly progress reports
* Organize Google Drive folders and documents
* Take notes during occasional Zoo
* Assist with event-related research, vendor lists, and administrative projects
* Help document recurring procedures and create simple checklists
* Follow up with tea
## Required Qualifications
* Strong written and spoken English
* Excellent online research skills
* Highly organized and attentive to detail
* Dependable and able to meet deadlines without repeated reminders
* Comfortable using Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Calendar
* Experience with lead generation, CRM systems, administrative support, or project coordination
* Able to write professional, personalized
* Comfortable learning new systems and following established procedures
* Reliable computer and internet connection
* Willing to attend one scheduled Zoo
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting a nonprofit, arts organization, small business, or executive director
* Experience researching sponsors, advertisers, donors, or business partnerships
* Familiarity with Trello, Canva, Mailchimp, or a CRM platform
* Basic knowledge of
* Experience working with a U.S.-based organization
* Interest in music, opera, education, or the nonprofit sector

The right person will:
* Take ownership of assigned projects and communicate clearly about progress
* Produce accurate, well-researched leads—not simply large, generic lists
* Keep our outreach pipeline current and organized
* Notice missing information and ask thoughtful questions
* Follow through consistently and help the organization operate more efficiently
* Communicate early if a deadline or assignment is unclear
* Protect confidential donor, patron, and organizational information
## Schedule and Time-Zone Expectations
Most tasks can be completed independently on a flexible schedule. However, you must be available for:
* One weekly Zoo
* Approximately 2–3 hours of Mountain Time overlap each week for communication and training
* Occasional additional overlap during major events or fundraising campaigns, arranged in advance
This is not currently a full-time overnight position, and live cold calling during Colorado business hours is not a primary responsibility.
