JOB OVERVIEW

Great River Marine Surveying / NAMVS (National Association of Marine Vessel Surveyors) is seeking a highly motivated Course Development & E-Learning Specialist to help build the marine surveying industry's premier online education and certification platform.

This is not a typical virtual assistant position. We are looking for someone with experience creating professional online training programs who can transform technical information into engaging, high-quality educational content.

Responsibilities
Develop and organize professional online training courses.
Create PowerPoint presentations, student manuals, worksheets, quizzes, and exams.
Edit and produce instructional videos.
Build engaging multimedia learning content.
Format and upload courses into our Learning Management System (LMS).
Work with AI-generated content and refine it into polished, professional training materials.
Create graphics, diagrams, and supporting educational resources.
Ensure consistency in branding, formatting, and instructional quality.
Assist with ongoing updates and improvements to existing courses.
Qualifications
Excellent written and spoken English (professional proficiency required).
Experience in instructional design, e-learning, or online course development.
Strong PowerPoint and presentation design skills.
Experience editing professional videos.
Familiarity with LMS platforms (Thinkific, Kajabi, LearnDash, Moodle, Teachable, or similar).
Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Otter.ai.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Experience
Adult education or corporate training.
Graphic design and multimedia production.
Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Canva, or similar software.
Experience developing certification or continuing education programs.
What You'll Be Working On

You'll help build a national online training academy for marine surveyors by transforming outlines, voice recordings, and technical reference materials into professional, engaging online courses. You'll work closely with company leadership to create training videos, presentations, manuals, quizzes, and certification content that will educate students across North America.
