We are hiring 2 to 3 part-time video editors, with the possibility of hiring 1 full-time editor if the work quality, speed, and communication are strong.
This role is for editing educational finance-related videos for YouTube, Shorts, Reels, TikTok-style clips, and other social media platforms. The content is already recorded and usually somewhat pre-edited, but we need a skilled editor who can polish the videos, improve retention, add overlays, clean up pacing, and make the final video look more professional and engaging.
You should have experience editing both short-form videos and long-form YouTube videos.

Editing tasks may include
Cutting out dead space
Improving pacing
Adding captions or subtitles
Adding subscribe pop-ups
Adding like/comment/subscribe reminders
Adding simple motion graphics
Adding B-roll
Adding zoom-ins and zoom-outs
Adding text overlays
Adding sound effects where appropriate
Adding background music when needed
Adding transitions
Improving audio levels
Creating cleaner final exports
Making videos more engaging and professional
The editing does not always need to be extremely complex. The most important thing is that the video keeps the viewer engaged and looks polished enough for YouTube and social media.

Workload
This may vary depending on your availability and skill level.
Possible workload may include:
5 to 10 short-form videos per week
Several long-form videos per week
Long-form videos are usually around 3 to 10 minutes each
Some videos may only need light cleanup and polish
Some videos may need stronger editing, B-roll, captions, and overlays
We are open to hiring multiple editors, so you do not need to handle everything alone.
Pay
Starting pay may range from $250 to $500 per month, depending on experience, speed, quality, availability, and how many videos you can realistically handle.
Performance bonuses may be available for fast turnaround, high-quality edits, strong retention-style editing, and reliable communication.

You do not need to be a Hollywood-level editor, but you should know how to make talking-head educational videos look clean, professional, and engaging.
You should be able to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and deliver files on time.
