EXPERIENCED U.S. SOLAR CLOSER — PROVE YOUR RESULTS
Prosper is recruiting an experienced remote closer for U.S. homeowner solar and home-energy opportunities. You must be able to take a qualified, held sales conversation through discovery, presentation, objection handling, a clear decision, accurate documentation, and a clean internal handoff.
This is not an entry-level sales, appointment-setting, cold-calling, lead-generation, customer-service, or virtual-assistant position. Applicants must prove that they personally conducted full sales presentations and closed real customers.
COMPENSATION — READ BEFORE APPLYING
• Commission-only opportunity
• No hourly wage or base salary is promised
• Commissions can range from $6,000 to $10,000 USD per sale, depending on the transaction and written compensation plan
• Prosper pays 100% of commissions that are earned under the written agreement
• “100% payout” means 100% of the earned commission—not 100% of the customer contract value or company revenue
• The exact earning event, payment timing, cancellation rules, and any chargeback or clawback terms will be provided in writing before engagement
• The stated range is not guaranteed income
• Prosper does not guarantee appointments, closings, sales volume, or a minimum number of commissions
Prosper is growing from a strong financial foundation and building a serious long-term sales organization. Proven closers can earn greater responsibility as the team, markets, and volume grow. Advancement depends on verified results, ethical sales quality, customer retention, leadership ability, and business need.
Evidence-qualified applicants must be available for a live group interview on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time (New York time). A smaller role-specific closer evaluation follows.
WHAT YOU MUST BE ABLE TO OWN
• Review lead and appointment history before each presentation
• Establish trust quickly with U.S. homeowners by phone or video
• Run complete discovery around goals, usage, concerns, timing, and decision process
• Present the approved solution accurately without inventing savings, incentives, timelines, or guarantees
• Explain the process, available payment or financing options, and next steps in plain language
• Handle price, timing, trust, spouse or co-decision-maker, comparison-shopping, and “I need to think about it” objections ethically
• Ask directly for a decision when the opportunity is qualified
• Complete accurate CRM notes, documents, and internal handoffs
• Follow up professionally and protect cancellation quality
• Report held presentations, closes, close rate, cancellations, and retained results honestly
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• At least three recent years in full-cycle phone, video, or consultative closing
• Direct experience closing U.S. consumers
• U.S. solar, roofing, HVAC, insurance, real estate, telecommunications, financing, or home-improvement experience is strongly preferred
• A measurable record of held presentations, closed sales, gross close rate, retained close rate, average deal value, and cancellations
• Experience using a CRM and a structured sales process
• Clear spoken and written English suitable for high-trust homeowner decisions
• Reliable computer, high-speed internet, professional headset and camera, quiet workspace, and dependable Eastern Time availability
DO NOT APPLY IF
• Your experience ends with setting appointments, cold calling, transferring calls, or reading a script
• You cannot separate booked appointments from held presentations and closed sales
• You cannot provide redacted evidence supporting your recent results
• You use vague claims such as “top performer,” “high ticket,” or “great closer” without numbers
• You need basic discovery, objection-handling, or closing training
• You will not complete the required video and live role-play
HARD APPLICATION GATE
Your first line must be exactly:
My verified close rate was ___ percent across ___ held presentations during ________, and I can attend Tuesday, August 11 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
Then answer every question:
1. What product or service did you personally close?
2. Which U.S. markets or states did you serve?
3. During your most recent measured period, how many appointments were assigned, how many were held, and how many did you close?
4. What were your gross and retained close rates?
5. What was the typical contract value or revenue per sale?
6. Were opportunities inbound, setter-booked, self-generated, reactivation, or mixed? Give the breakdown.
7. Did you close by phone, video, or in person?
8. Which CRM, proposal, financing, and e-signature tools did you use?
9. What three objections did you hear most often, and how did you diagnose each one?
10. Describe one sale you deliberately declined because it was not appropriate for the customer.
11. What was your cancellation, rescission, refund, or chargeback rate?
12. Why did your last closing role end, and may Prosper verify your role and results?
REQUIRED PROOF
Attach all of the following:
• Current resume
• Redacted CRM dashboard, scorecard, commission statement, or manager-issued performance report showing held presentations and closed results
• One professional reference who supervised or audited your production
• One continuous 3–5 minute solar closing audition
REQUIRED VIDEO AUDITION — PROVE IT
Do not use slides, editing, background music, or a copied internet script. Look into the camera and treat this as a live U.S. homeowner conversation:
The homeowner owns the home and pays approximately $250 per month for electricity. The homeowner wants to lower long-term energy costs but is skeptical because a friend said solar is a scam. The homeowner does not want a high-pressure presentation and says, “I need to talk to my spouse before I make any decision.” You do not have the utility history, roof design, credit information, final system design, financing terms, or an approved savings proposal.
Show how you would:
1. Open and set a clear agenda
2. Ask useful discovery questions before presenting
3. Explain the potential value of exploring solar without inventing savings, incentives, approval, or system details
4. Diagnose and respond to the trust and spouse objections
5. Ask for an appropriate commitment or next step
We evaluate discovery, listening, credibility, structure, objection diagnosis, ethical persuasion, and the strength of the close. A loud sales pitch without discovery will score poorly. Unsupported claims are an automatic rejection.
Applications with missing questions, vague numbers, no evidence, or no video will not advance. Never submit private customer information or recordings you do not have permission to share. Redact all personal and contract details.
