JOB OVERVIEW

Claeritas is an (new) EU-based customs and trade compliance consultancy. We help international companies with permits, import/export compliance, and operational support through the Netherlands and EU, with a strong focus on CITES permits, customs, and logistics.

We are building a lean, ambitious team to scale our consultancy and productized services. You will join early, with room to shape workflows and directly impact revenue.

Role: Sales & Client Success Lead Converter
We’re looking for a commercially driven Sales & Client Success Lead with strong knowledge of import/export, logistics, and compliance.

Your mission: turn qualified leads into paying clients, deeply understand their situation, and continuously improve our sales framework so we know exactly why we are (or are not) selling – and fix it.
You work closely with the Outreach & Client Support VA and Outreach Manager. They generate attention and leads; you own discovery, pilots, complex commercial calls, and closing deals into paid contracts.

Key Responsibilities
Discovery & client needs
-Run structured discovery calls on import/export flows, logistics setup, and permit challenges.
-Map the client situation into clear problem statements and opportunities.
-Advise which Claeritas service or pilot fits best.
-Closing deals & contracts
-Draft/refine simple offers using our templates and pricing.
-Ensure signed agreements or clear paid pilots.
-Co-design pilots with team. Turn pilots into recurring revenue.
-Spot and turn bottlenecks into improvements in messaging, process, documentation, and follow-up.

Complex calls & relationships
-Lead complex commercial/operational calls
-Keep communication structured and outcome-focused (decisions, next steps, commitments).
-Maintain trust while steering towards clear agreements and timelines.
-Analyze the funnel: where do leads drop off, which objections return, why are we not selling yet?
-Translate this into better scripts, offers, positioning, follow-up, and workflows.
-Fill gaps: missing templates, unclear handovers, weak follow-up, unclear offers.

Requirements
-Strong understanding of Import/export & logistics. Basic understanding of CITES Permits.
-Strong understanding of routes, documents, clearances, permits, and common trade terms.
-Experience with freight forwarders, customs brokers, logistics providers, or trade compliance teams is a strong plus.

Sales & closing
-Proven B2B sales experience: discovery calls, objections, and closing into paid contracts.
-Comfortable leading complex multi-stakeholder calls and driving decisions.
-Excellent in lead conversion calls and sales.

Communication & documentation
-Excellent written and spoken English.
-Able to draft clear proposals, call summaries, and follow-up emails that move deals forward.

Ownership & collaboration
-Self-driven, independent, and decisive.
-Enjoys close collaboration with outreach and client support roles to create one coherent client journey.
-Can participate in weekly tea ---------- etings and close colab with teammembers.
-While your regular working hours will be agreed upon in advance, you must be available to adjust your schedule when necessary to support customer meetings during European business hours or other agreed time zones.

Hours, Tools and Compensation
15 hours per week, Mon–Fri, with potential to grow as results and fit become clear.
Fixed starting rate: 5 USD/hour.

How to Apply
Instead of a written application, please submit a short video introduction (maximum 5–7 minutes). We want to understand how you communicate and how you would interact with clients in a commercial and advisory role.

In your video, please cover:
Your background in import/export, logistics, trade compliance, and B2B sales.
One or two examples of B2B deals you closed: the client situation, your approach, and the outcome.
How you run a discovery call and identify bottlenecks that may prevent a prospect from becoming a client.

Please also answer these two short exercises:

Discovery-call scenario
A company imports products into the EU and is experiencing delays, unclear responsibilities between its freight forwarder and internal team, and uncertainty about permits and customs documentation. What would you ask during your first discovery call to understand their situation and identify whether Claeritas can help?

Two-minute mock client explanation
Imagine you are speaking to a potential client for the first time. In no more than two minutes, explain what Claeritas does and why the company should consider working with us.

We are looking for clear, structured, confident communication. Your video does not need to be highly produced; a professional and well-prepared recording is sufficient.
