ABOUT US
Assistant to the Therapist (ATTT) connects mental health professionals with virtual assistants and support services to streamline their practice operations. We're expanding our service offerings to support therapists in growing their private practices and getting credentialed with insurance panels.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We're seeking an experienced Insurance Credentialing Specialist to provide credentialing services to therapists and mental health professionals who use ATTT. You'll manage provider credentialing and panel enrollment across multiple insurance companies and state jurisdictions, helping independent therapists get in-network with various insurance panels to grow their practice income.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Submit and track insurance credentialing applications on behalf of therapist clients across multiple states
• Monitor credentialing status and follow up on incomplete or delayed applications
• Collect and organize provider information and documentation from therapist clients
• Manage panel renewal tracking and update submissions
• Communicate with insurance panel representatives to expedite approvals and resolve issues
• Maintain organized credentialing records and documentation for each therapist client
• Provide therapists with credentialing status updates and next steps
• Troubleshoot credentialing issues, denials, and handle appeals
• Support therapists in selecting which panels to prioritize based on their target client base

REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience with insurance credentialing for mental health professionals or healthcare providers
• Strong knowledge of multi-state credentialing processes and differences
• Familiarity with CAQH, major insurance panels, and credentialing platforms
• Experience managing credentialing for multiple providers simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain credentialing processes clearly to therapist clients
• Problem-solving ability and persistence in navigating insurance requirements
• Comfortable with data management, spreadsheets, and tracking systems
• Reliable internet connection and professional work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Mental health or behavioral health credentialing background (preferred)
• Experience with therapist/counselor credentialing specifically
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) – a plus
• Familiarity with multiple state licensing requirements for therapists
• Experience with credentialing management software or systems
• Customer service experience working with healthcare professionals
