We are seeking an experienced Computer Repair Technician with a proven track record in diagnosing and repairing computer systems. The ideal candidate has sales experience and tier 2 technical support expertise.
Must be available 45 hours per week, open availability on weekends, and able to start immediately.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is not an entry-level technical support position. It is not a script-based call center role, and we do not provide training in core technical support or computer repair skill sets.
We are looking for experienced professionals who can combine advanced computer repair expertise with strong consultative sales skills. This is a performance-driven, quota-based contract role for someone who can confidently handle challenging inbound calls from home users, quickly establish credibility, and guide customers toward the right solution, and handle sales + pricing.
Many callers initially believe they need an in-person repair shop or an on-site technician. Your role is to take control of the conversation, build trust, show subject matter expertise quickly, begin troubleshooting immediately, determine whether the issue can be resolved remotely, and convert qualified opportunities into fixed and paid remote repair services.
We provide training on our internal systems, workflows, billing processes, and documentation standards. However, you are expected to arrive with the technical knowledge and sales ability required to succeed from day one. This role is designed for professionals who can quickly integrate into our team and consistently deliver results.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS FOR EACH REPRESENTATIVE
Answer 20 new inbound computer repair sales calls per day
Maintain 25%+ overall conversion rate on total calls, including hard-to-close calls
Maintain an average sale ticket of $250 per customer by the end of the service day
Work quickly from call ? diagnosis ? sale ? resolution ? documentation
Consistently hit daily production and sales targets
Meet and exceed a $750+ daily sales quota for computer repair services
Fix 5 computers per day at an average charge of $250+ per customer
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Handle inbound calls from U.S. home-based end users inquiring about bringing their computer to a local store
Prevent callers from defaulting to "I'll just take it to a local computer shop"
Start troubleshooting immediately instead of delaying the diagnosis
Close paid remote services on qualified calls
Handle a mixed queue of software and hardware-adjacent consumer issues
Resolve common and urgent issues, especially:
Windows 11 boot issues — No Boot Device Found, Startup Repair / Automatic Repair failures and loops
BitLocker recovery scenarios
Forgotten Windows PINs and passwords / Login and account-access issues
Getting systems booted far enough for remote access
Guiding customers to a second device to create Windows 10/11 recovery media when needed
Support across Windows, macOS, Chromebook, Android, iPhone/iPad, printers,
Must already be an expert at getting remote access on Macbook and Chromebook computers
Document each call accurately and completely
SALES EXPECTATIONS
You must already know how to:
Control the call and build trust fast
Handle objections without sounding pushy
Keep hesitant callers engaged and stop the "local shop" exit
Ask for the sale directly and close difficult calls confidently
TECHNICAL EXPECTATIONS
You must already be strong in:
Tier 2 / Tier 3 remote troubleshooting
Windows 10/11 recovery and boot repair
BitLocker and account-access recovery scenarios
Windows PIN and password recovery paths
Remote rescue workflows and remote-access setup
USB recovery-media creation from a second computer
Consumer support across major desktop and mobile platforms such as Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and printers.
We are not looking for someone who "usually figures it out." We are looking for someone who already knows the work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven Tier 2 or Tier 3 remote support experience
Proven phone sales, retention, or quota-carrying closing experience
Strong spoken and written English with a professional phone presence
Ready to start immediately with minimal ramp time
Able to provide full professional focus during agreed service windows when workung from home
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
Your experience is mainly tier 1 basic troubleshooting or script-based
You are not confident with your skills on macOS and ChromeOS computers
You rely on escalation for common boot, recovery, or login issues
You have customer service experience but lack real sales closing skills
You are uncomfortable in a high-quota, performance-tracked environment
You are not good at closing sales and you feel you are not good at sales
You need training or refreshers on core troubleshooting or sales fundamentals
