JOB OVERVIEW

26 Characters is a Chicago based content agency, and we are hiring one Content Writer and Editor to work from home in the Philippines. Here is the honest version of the job. We make boutique recruiting firm owners and corporate executives sound like the sharpest people in their industries on LinkedIn. We interview them, we build a brand that captures their positioning and their beliefs, we build a voice profile that captures how they actually talk, and then we produce their content month after month in their voice. This is an AI first role, so let us be direct about what that means. You are not expected to draft everything from scratch. You are expected to be genuinely expert with generative tools like Claude and ChatGPT, and to have the editorial judgment to know when what comes back is good, when it is generic, and exactly what to do about it. Beginners will not work here. If your experience is typing a prompt and pasting the result, that is not the skill we are paying for. We want someone who prompts with real intent, who can tell within one sentence whether the voice is off, and who rewrites and elevates output until a client reads it and thinks that is exactly how I would have said it. The work itself is LinkedIn posts, blog posts and long form articles between eight hundred and two thousand words, multi section newsletters, and editing drafts to a publishable standard. You will never start from a blank page. You will start from an interview transcript, a brand, and a voice profile, and your job is to mine them for the real stories, direct the tools well, and turn the output into finished work. Deadlines are fixed. You will work alongside a marketing manager, a content producer, and a video editor, but the written word is your lane and you own it end to end.
