Employment: Part-Time (Opportunity to transition to Full-Time)
We're hiring an experienced Behavioral Health Credentialing & RCM Specialist to support a growing U.S.-based behavioral health practice. This is a credentialing-first role for someone who can independently manage provider credentialing, payer enrollment, and insurance paneling with minimal training.
Credentialing will be your primary responsibility during the first few months. As the practice grows and credentialing stabilizes, you'll gradually take on Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and billing responsibilities, with the opportunity to move into a full-time role.
What You'll Do
Manage the end-to-end credentialing process for behavioral health providers
Complete, maintain, and update CAQH profiles
Submit and manage payer enrollment and insurance paneling applications
Coordinate credentialing across multiple insurance carriers and multiple states
Track application status and proactively follow up with insurance companies
Maintain accurate credentialing records and provider documentation
Coordinate NPI information and provider enrollment requirements
Support Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and billing workflows as credentialing stabilizes
? MUST-HAVE Qualifications
Hands-on provider credentialing experience (REQUIRED)
Behavioral Health or Mental Health credentialing experience is STRONGLY PREFERRED
Experience with insurance payer enrollment and insurance paneling
Experience managing credentialing across multiple insurance carriers and multiple states
Proficiency using Availity
Experience with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
Experience with CAQH profile creation, maintenance, and updates
Ability to independently manage credentialing with minimal supervision and little to no training
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SimplePractice, Upheal, or similar EHR systems
Familiarity with behavioral health insurance credentialing requirements
Understanding of individual and group NPI structures
Experience communicating directly with insurance carriers
Previous experience in a remote healthcare administrative role
Important: This is not an entry-level credentialing position. We are looking for someone who has successfully managed provider credentialing independently and can take ownership of the entire credentialing process from day one.
