Mental Health Virtual Receptionist & Patient Care Coordinator
Salary: $5.00–$7.00/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–6:00 PM EDT

We're hiring an experienced Mental Health Virtual Receptionist & Patient Care Coordinator to support a growing U.S.-based private behavioral health practice. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in medical administration and patient coordination within a mental health or behavioral health setting.
You will serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, managing appointments, coordinating medication refill requests, handling inbound calls, and providing exceptional administrative support to providers.
What You'll Do
Answer high-volume inbound patient calls with professionalism and empathy
Schedule, reschedule, and manage provider appointments and calendars
Coordinate and track medication refill requests
Respond to patient
Perform accurate EMR documentation and maintain patient records
Prepare support letters and other patient documentation
Assist with administrative tasks and provider support
Help support the practice's transition to a new EMR system
Maintain HIPAA compliance and deliver outstanding patient service
MUST-HAVE Qualifications
3–5 years of experience working in the healthcare or medical industry
Previous experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator, or Virtual Receptionist
Experience working in a Behavioral Health or Mental Health practice (REQUIRED)
Extensive experience handling high-volume inbound patient calls
Excellent spoken and written English with a professional and compassionate phone presence
Experience with appointment scheduling, calendar management, and patient coordination
Experience managing medication refill requests
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DrChrono, Healthy EMR, or similar EMR systems
Experience supporting psychiatric, psychology, counseling, or behavioral health providers
Comfortable learning new systems and workflows during EMR migration
