JOB OVERVIEW

**Virtual SEO Assistant – Shopify Ecommerce**

Country Mile is looking for a reliable and proactive Virtual SEO Assistant to help improve our website’s visibility on Google and increase organic traffic.

You’ll work directly with the founder to identify SEO opportunities and optimise our Shopify website, product pages, collections and blog content.

**Key responsibilities:**

* Conduct keyword research relevant to our products and audience
* Optimise product and collection titles, descriptions, URLs and metadata
* Improve image alt text and internal linking
* Identify and fix broken links and basic technical SEO issues
* Assist with writing and optimising SEO-friendly blog content
* Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic and website performance
* Research competitor SEO strategies and opportunities
* Provide a clear monthly report outlining completed work and results
* Recommend practical improvements to help increase organic traffic and sales

**What we’re looking for:**

* Previous SEO experience, ideally with Shopify or ecommerce brands
* Strong understanding of on-page, technical and content SEO
* Experience using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush or Ahrefs
* Excellent written English and attention to detail
* Able to explain SEO recommendations clearly and without unnecessary jargon
* Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently

This is a flexible, remote contractor position starting with approximately **5–10 hours per week**, with the potential for ongoing work. Please include examples of previous SEO results, the platforms you have worked with and the SEO tools you regularly use when applying.
