JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Short-Form Video Editor for Luxury Tattoo Brand (Reels / TikTok)

Type: Part-time to start, moving to full-time for the right person
Salary: [your range — e.g. $500–$800/mo depending on speed and skill]

About us
We're Icon Tattoo, a high-end realism tattoo studio in New York. Our brand is built on mastery, precision, and a clean, cinematic look. We post talking-head Reels and behind-the-scenes content, and we need a dedicated editor to own the edit so our founder can stay in front of the camera instead of behind the screen.

What you'll do
You'll take raw, self-shot footage — often filmed alone, with multiple takes of the same line and several topics in one file — and turn it into finished vertical Reels. We'll mark our keeper takes and give you short written direction per video. Your job is to find the marked takes, cut the rambles and dead air, and assemble a tight, punchy Reel that follows our style guide (we'll give you a written Edit Spec covering hook timing, caption style, and pacing). Clean white captions, no busy graphics. One strong point per Reel.

You must be great at

Short-form / vertical editing (Reels, TikTok) — fast hooks, clean pacing, retention
Accurate, clean burned-in captions (white, easy to read)
Working from footage in Google Drive and organizing your exports back into it
Following a written style guide precisely and getting it right with minimal revisions
Working from marked selects and light notes, not needing hand-holding

Nice to have

Experience editing for personal brands, coaches, or creators
Basic color correction / matching
Comfort with Descript, CapCut, or Premiere Pro

Not a fit if: your portfolio is mostly weddings, corporate, or long-form YouTube. We need snappy short-form.
