About the Company
The company delivers high-performance Amazon PPC management, earning client trust through precision, insight, and proven results. Driven by steady organic growth and supported by a small team of experts, this role presents a unique opportunity to advance alongside a business anchored in true quality rather than hype.
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper with extensive, hands-on E-commerce accounting expertise, rather than a general bookkeeper with only a basic understanding of online retail. You must thoroughly comprehend the intricate complexities of multi-platform selling, including settlement timing, marketplace fee structures, split inventory pools, returns, and precise cross-channel COGS tracking. The ideal candidate works independently, takes full ownership of their output, and possesses the ability to train an operational team to effectively interpret financial data.
Applicants who lack direct experience in E-commerce inventory bookkeeping, COGS recognition, inventory asset management, and multi-platform reconciliation will not be considered. Standard bookkeeping experience alone does not fulfill the requirements for this role.
What you'll own
E-commerce & Amazon Accounting Specialist
Multi E-Commerce Platform accounting reconciliation: sales, refunds, FBA/referral/storage fees, sponsored ads, and reimbursements are correctly categorised and posted.
Multi-platform revenue reconciliation: Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, Chewy and more, each with its own payout timing, fees, and reporting format reconciled into one accurate GL.
Marketplace tax handling: marketplace facilitator tax flows correctly without inflating revenue.
Ad spend allocation: Amazon PPC and off-platform spend treated correctly as operating expenses, reconciled against actual campaign data.
Inventory bookkeeping & COGS
Inventory as a balance sheet asset: purchase orders posted to inventory, not expensed; landed costs (freight, duties, prep) correctly capitalised.
COGS recognition: accurate cost matched to units sold using FIFO or weighted average as appropriate; no blunt average cost assumptions masking margin.
Multi-location inventory: FBA fulfilment centres, 3PL warehouses, and owned stock are each correctly reflected on the balance sheets.
Inventory reconciliation: regular reconciliation of system counts against accounting records; variances from shrinkage, damage, returns, and Amazon discrepancies are properly adjusted.
Returns & kitting: correct treatment of resellable vs destroyed returns; component-level COGS allocation for bundled and kitted SKUs.
Agency & internal accounting
Full-cycle bookkeeping: chart of accounts, journal entries, bank feeds, reconciliations, and month-end close.
AP/AR, contractor payments, client invoicing, retainer tracking, and project cost allocation
Clean, audit-ready books at all times; not catch-up dependent
Manager training
Build practical SOPs and train hands-on managers in daily financial workflows, platform navigation, and report interpretation; building real confidence, not dependency
