Senior Finished Artist – Packaging & POS Displays (Remote – Full Time)

We are expanding our offshore creative team and are looking for a highly experienced Senior Finished Artist with specialist expertise in Packaging and POS Display artwork.
This is not a general graphic design role. We are seeking someone who enjoys the technical side of artwork production and has exceptional attention to detail.
About the Role
You will work closely with our Australian creative, account management and production teams to prepare production-ready artwork for a wide variety of packaging and retail display projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Rolling out artwork across complete product ranges and SKUs.
• Adapting artwork for front, back, sides, tops and bottoms of packaging.
• Preparing artwork for retail POS displays including FSDUs, dump bins, shelf displays, counter units and other corrugated displays.
• Building accurate production artwork from supplied creative concepts.
• Setting artwork to printer and manufacturer specifications.
• Laying artwork accurately onto die lines.
• Preparing print-ready PDF files.
• Colour separations and ink management.
• Trapping and overprint settings.
• Bleeds, safety margins and print tolerances.
• Checking artwork for production accuracy.
• Prepress and print production file preparation.
• Maintaining consistency across large product ranges and multiple versions.
• Ensuring all files meet strict production deadlines.
Essential Skills & Experience
Applicants should have 3+ years' experience as a Finished Artist working within:
• Packaging Design
• FMCG Packaging
• Retail POS Displays
• Print Production
• Prepress
You should have advanced experience with:
• Adobe Illustrator (Expert)
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Acrobat Professional
You should have strong knowledge of:
• Packaging artwork production
• Cartons and labels
• Corrugated POS displays
• Knifelines and die lines
• Spot colours and CMYK
• Pantone colour systems
• Colour separations
• Trapping
• Bleeds
• Overprint
• Varnishes
• White ink
• Embossing and foil artwork
• Large format print
• Offset printing
• Flexographic printing
• Digital print production
• PDF/X standards
