This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, is extremely organized, and has experience working in a medical office.
Responsibilities
The Practice Coordinator will assist with the day-to-day administrative operations of the practice, including:
Scheduling new and existing patients
Rescheduling appointments
Sending appointment reminders
Managing the provider's calendar
Monitoring voi
Answering patient administrative questions
Managing
Insurance verification when needed
Uploading and organizing patient documents
Coordinating lab orders and referrals
Managing Zocdoc scheduling
Assisting with Headway administrative tasks
Maintaining accurate patient records
Tracking no-shows and cancellations
Assisting with credentialing and administrative projects
Performing additional administrative duties as assigned
This position DOES NOT involve
Providing medical advice
Discussing medications with patients
Making clinical decisions
Diagnosing patients
Changing treatment plans
Qualifications
Required:
Excellent English communication
Strong organizational skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Reliable internet connection
Professional demeanor
Comfortable learning new software
Able to work independently
Preferred:
Experience working in a psychiatry, therapy, or medical practice
Experience with scheduling software
Familiarity with HIPAA
Experience with Headway
Experience with Zocdoc
Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs)
Hours
Initially:
15–20 hours per week
Potential to become full-time based on performance and practice growth.
Compensation
