We are hiring an experienced Senior Headless WordPress and Next.js Developer for a full-time, long-term position.
The developer will help build, migrate, launch, and maintain a large website using WordPress, WP Engine, Gutenberg, WPGraphQL, and Next.js.

Required Experience
Applicants must have:
7+ years of professional web development experience
Strong Headless WordPress experience
Advanced Next.js and React knowledge
WP Engine experience
Gutenberg and custom block development experience
WPGraphQL or WordPress REST API experience
TypeScript, JavaScript, PHP, HTML, and CSS knowledge
Git and GitHub experience
Experience building and maintaining production websites
Key Responsibilities
Build the Next.js frontend
Configure WordPress as the Headless CMS
Develop reusable Gutenberg blocks and components
Connect WordPress content to Next.js
Create preview, draft, and publishing workflows
Migrate existing website content
Preserve URLs, metadata, schema, redirects, and internal links
Optimize Core Web Vitals and website speed
Integrate forms, analytics, tracking, and CRM systems
Manage staging, production, deployments, and rollbacks
Test all pages, forms, tracking, redirects, and functionality
Maintain clear technical documentation
Provide ongoing support and maintenance
Required Knowledge
The developer must understand:
Next.js App Router
Server-side rendering
Static-site generation
Incremental Static Regeneration
Caching and revalidation
Custom Gutenberg blocks
Technical SEO
Website accessibility
Website security
API integrations
CI/CD and deployment workflows
Performance monitoring and error tracking
The developer must be able to clearly explain their process, technical decisions, risks, and recommendations.
